My son, Casey, has been a student at Spring Run School, since he started high school, at age 15, until June 14th, when he graduates at age 21. Casey has DS and autism, is non-verbal, and has a functional level of about 24-36 months. However, since he's been at SRS, Casey has made phenomenal progress. He has, and continues, to make great strides in independent living skills, communication, and social interaction. The staff at SRS is caring, professional, and devoted to developing the potential of a wide range of functional levels in their student population. Although Casey may be one of the lower functioning students in the population, others at SRS have gone forward to procure employment after graduation and become fully-functional members of the community. The atmosphere of the school is a positive, supportive environment for all, and even the most challenging students find success at SRS.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
