Nice school except the principal is too young to know how to run a school. I suggest a new principal. Mr. S = no
Holy Family is an excellent school. This great school prepares them fully for the competitive high schools in the area. Recent graduates have been accepted to the top 20 high schools in the country based on a Wall Street Journal article. Not only do students get full attention due to the personalized teaching methods but also learn in a very nurturing environment.
This is a wonderful faith based, family oriented school. Children graduating from the school go to very competitive high schools. Holy Family has incredibly dedicated, highly effective teachers. My daughter attends a competitive high school and was one of 3 freshmen who placed out of algebra and into the honors geometry class. She was well prepared for high school. This school has everything - a loving, nurturing environment and great academcs.
I am a current parent who loves HFS!! I have 2 other older children who are currently enrolled in 2 of the best catholic high schools in the area. The teaching staff is energetic and highly educated and because we have smaller classroom sizes the kids get one on one attention. None of my kids were ever bullied and I have never ever heard of any student being made fun of for being a non-catholic. HFS does not tolerate that and either do the parents. We have an amazing principal who is motivated and loves the kids. Drive by any lunch period and you will see him out their with the kids. He knows their names and is always open to parents.
Holy Family School is an amazing school with very smart, friendly, teachers who really get into learning with students. If I could choose to attend a different school, I wouldn't. I highly recommend this school if you want to have a fun and enjoyable learning experience.
This school not only has a deficient teaching staff, but if full of cliques and bullies and children prejudice against other religions. Please heed our warning, take your children and run the opposite direction from this school . The Terra Nova scores average 15 percentage points below the Diocese average, for some classes its even more. There are so few children, the cliques are fierce and those left out seem to suffer from depression. Don't make the mistake we made, the Principal is no more than a polished used car salesman. He will not even give out copies of the scores they are so poor, and often will claim the Diocese dictates he can't give them out. Don't fall for his act of appearing concerned about the kids. Don't evenn waste your time on this one. The reviews here that are positive were written by the staff/cliques' parents.
Holy Family School is a great community asset and a wonderful place to send your children, for a superb education!
Everybody really cares about all the kids. From principal to secretaries, to all the teachers, and a lot of mothers are very actively involved, in all the activities. This is an example of a school that shows that with much less money available than to a public school, more attention can be given to the childrens education.
This is a wonderful school with small class sizes. The spirit is family oriented with great academics. The students love it and so do the parents. The teachers are great and do whatever to help the students succeed.
