I think this school is great! My child's grades are higher than before, and the teachers are nice and friendly. The parents who commented and disagreed was actually half right. Though, that was in the past years when the staff was unkind. I highly recommend this school for your child. After all, we are a blue ribbon school!
Great school work, hard working theacher
I have to disagree with you. I know a Latin American teacher. The staff is very helpful and kids actually enjoy going to school. If your child has academic problems then he/she needs extra help. If you are not on top of you kids homework and academic advancement then you should not blame the school nor the teachers.
#3 School in Fort lee, NJ is not a school that supports the students. I had my child there last year and is not as good as you think. If you are not Asian the opportunities are slim. A child is not taken good care when in a kindergarten of first grade class has more than 25 children with only one teacher. During lunch they are not supervised as they should, I hope that this issues would be addressed and parents need to speak up. Parent are the ones that make our school work and should not be scare to speak up. The PTA should help with our education not only on making efforts to raise money for our children, but to help our students and their academics which I believe is way more important than anything else. #3 Please select your priorities...
School # 3 at fort lee, is not the place to be. I feel terrible every morning when I had to leave my son in that shool. The people in the office are very unfriendly, no support for kindergaten students, students must be asian to get any opportunity or respec. The entire school do not have a Hispanic or African American teacher. The reality is that the school could do much better. PTA only help the school to raise money. Woww what a future for this kinds.
both of my children are currently in the school. i have been very pleased with all of my childrens' teachers and staff. the diversity of the school is wonderful. we have been very impressed with the new principal.
my son is in kindergarten in school #3. so far he has had a lovely time. great, caring teachers, principal and staff. only time will tell. he might not like school and become a rock star like his dad... (j/k)
This school is a horrible. When interviewing for Kinder, one of the teachers told me that my child should go back to pre-school for a year. Fort Lee does not have a pre-school. The teachers, administration, even the front office is cold and unfriendly. As long as your child has no academic issues you'll have no issues. Their is no support for students that need extra help. Most are Asian students with parents that are not outspoken and let the school get away with whatever it wants. Few parents involved in PTA meetings. School starts at almost 9:00 AM making it very difficult for working parents. There is no before school program to accomodate for this situation. This is truly not worth your very high property tax dollars. Fort lee is investing nothing in its children.
My first child was about to begin kindergarten and I was feeling very frustrated after I read the previous review. Now I can say that I do not agree that instruction is below standard. We have been very pleased with our child's teacher. Principal is, however, a little uneffective although he tries to make it look like he has everything under control. And yes the system is a little old school system and the staff is not as friendly and as helpful to every parent. Another thing is that the school itself is quite old and there is no proper outdoor play area, not enough greenery and no parking for parents at all. But still our kid enjoys being there and we feel that she learned a lot this past year.
Instruction is below standard. Quality leadership is lacking greatly. 'Old School mentality. Principal is unaffective. Would not recommend this school.
