I cannot say enough good things about this school. The class sizes are small, so there is a sense of community within the students and parents that you just don't see in larger schools. Every staff member, regardless of whether they are your child's current teacher or not, is concerned with your child's education, well-being, and spiritual/personal growth. My son entered PK-4 with a fine motor delay, which was addressed with his teacher before hand. In 3 months, when he was tested by the district, his fine motor skills were in the advanced level. He improved more in 3 months at ACA than a whole year in OT! Being a small private school also gave us the opportunity to tailor his kindergarten experience next year, as he is also cognitively advanced with ADHD. His teachers and principal met with us and worked out a plan so he will study advanced coursework. We also discussed strategies for managing his ADHD. This never would have happened in district. I know this because I was told so by the district (they told me to send him to private school). I am so happy with ACA and the level of education that my son is receiving. He loves it there as well!

I have been involved with ACA for the past several years and have gotten to know teachers, administrators and students through my involvement. ACA's leadership and teachers are a fantastic group of godly men and women. Each staff member truly loves children. Grade level teachers are all extremely educated and gifted teachers whose desire to teach the next generation of our society is more important than a big pay check elsewhere. Many administrators and teachers choose to teach at ACA because they believe in their mission and love the environment that is created for children. Your child will not only receive a great education but will also feel loved and built up while there. I have spoken to several alumni and they all said that ACA was like a second home to them. One recently told me that she learned more at ACA than in her four years at a public high school and misses it so much. I give ACA my highest recommendation.

In response to the review posted on May 16th, it's important to note that regrettably, ACA is not an ideal fit for all students. The various curricula used are carefully selected and evaluated by all key staff members. When selecting a school for your child, it's also important to understand the difference between private school education and Christian education. The educational experience is of the upmost importance, certainly, but the spiritual development of our students is just as critical. When meeting with prospective parents, we carefully explain what each curriculum is and what they can expect. It's important to us that our parents have a clear understanding of what ACA has to offer. We are grateful for every student who walks through our doors. Even if for some, Ambassador Christian Academy is not an ideal match.

Awful! Will not be sending my child next year. Academics are woefully inadequate. Despite good grades, my child hasn't been taught much of anything. Curriculum certainly lags behind public schools. I'll be finding another private school to ensure my child is actually educated and I get what I'm paying for.

The absolute worst! I was lead to believe my child would be taking Spanish classes. I was never informed she actually wasn't. There wasn't a Spanish teacher! Gym consisted of walking swiftly around the gymnasium in socks. Huge deficits in academics. Your child would be better off going to a public school.

I love that the school maintains high standards in education. I love that my children can learn about the bible and are expected to follow what is good and right before God. The small class size allows for more one-on-one teacher-student instruction. The staff is a very caring and supportive team. My children have enjoyed the sports very much. The Chapel is awesome! We have had great experiences all around at ACA. WE LOVE OUR SCHOOL!

ACA provides an academically challenging curriculum with a strong biblical foundation. Because of the caring and dedicated staff, our children are learning and growing in a loving and safe environment. The smaller class sizes allow children to have more individualized attention. For a small school, they provide a variety of extracurricular activities affording our kids the opportunity to become well rounded individuals. If anyone is looking for a private Christian school, ACA is a great choice!

This review is to off-set the negative review I have posted in the past. I reviewed this school in haste and wish to make it right.

I have seen such a dramatic improvement in my child's self esteem since transferring to ACA. She is getting more confident with each passing day. The small classroom settings really facilitate her academic abilities especially in those classes that she had struggled with in the larger classroom public school setting. Most importantly, fellow classmates and teaching staff are truly genuine in their Christian beliefs and behaviors. My child is excited to go to school each morning...something we have not seen since she started middle school. I am so impressed that I am planning to send my son there as well next year!!

I find ACA to be a great school. The teachers genuinely care about the students and the individualized attention is second to none. I'm not sure why the one review said there were combined classes because it's just not the case. I've been here for years and we've never had combined classes. All the parents I speak to seem to really appreciate being here. The sports teams are very organized and play on a higher level than expected for a Christian school. The art and music program are head and shoulders above other schools and they teach foreign language at a younger age than most other schools. They've worked hard to hold a high academic standard and it's paying off. There's a reason why people continually send their kids here.

Ambassador Christian Academy has been a blessing to my family. I appreciate the energy and creativity of the staff and principal. Not only are the academics are challenging, but the small classroom size is great for students who thrive on one -on-one attention. The Fine Arts department presents fantastic Christmas and Spring concerts as well as incredible artwork. The sports program helps middle-schoolers learn the importance of self discipline and Christ-centered sportsmanship. The PTA is a huge part of the school, and helps create a family atmosphere. Two of my children have graduated and moved on to public high school - I was happy to see they were ahead of the curve, and I attribute that to the great teachers and academic program. I highly recommend you check it out for yourself!

I am so thankful for the ministry of Ambassador Christian Academy! In my opinion, this is the best elementary/middle school in the South Jersey area. I have two children that have come through this school and I couldn't have asked for a better experience for them. They are well prepared both academically & spiritually. They have taken advantage of the many extra-curricular activities and have made life long friends in the process. I highly recommend this school! Even though you have to pay tuition, there is no greater investment than your children.

Like any school, Ambassador Christian Academy has its bad points and its good points. I graduated from ACA a few years ago, and to be honest I really didn't like it when I was there. However, looking back on my 10 years there, ACA has helped to shape who I have become as a person. The teachers are dedicated and have what it takes to help you learn in the way that suits you best. Since class sizes are small, I was very close to everyone in my class. As a matter of fact, I have created friends that I know will last a lifetime at ACA (I still hang out with them on a regular basis!).The sports are so much fun; The coaches push you and encourage you to be the best athlete you can be, and even if you're not really that good, they are more than wanting and willing to give you pointers and extra help to practice and improve your skills (or lack of!). ACA has given me a knowledge of the Bible and helped me develop a relationship with Jesus Christ that has stuck with me through all my years of high school and now as I enter college I have ACA to thank for helping me build a firm foundation. Overall, ACA is an awesome school and I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to attend.

Ambassador Christian Academy is a great school!!! My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time there! They have loving teachers, challenging academics, drama, Bible quiz, soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, track & field, cheerleading, chess, and many leadership development opportunities. The 7th & 8th graders love the Black Rock Retreat each fall & the 8th graders enjoy one last trip together to Williamsburg, Va. I can highly recommend ACA to any family who is looking for a nurturing environment with a family feel, Biblically based curriculum that is also challenging and will prepare your child for success in high school.

I have been a teacher at ACA, in Glassboro, for nearly 10 years, and I love it! The students are fantastic and their families are involved. The present administration is made up of a great team of Godly leaders who have a heart to minister to every child that walks through our doors each morning. As I read some of the negative reviews below, I seriously believe they are referring to a different Ambassador Christian Academy (there is more than one ACA in NJ). When I first started teaching at ACA, the middle school was small and there was a need for combined classes on that level. Once ACA added the athletic program, the middle school began to grow and for the last 6 years has been able to sustain enough enrollment for all classes to be separate. There were no combined classes, as mentioned below, in the last 6 years and no cutting of teachers. The only staff cut I recall was that of a full time librarian, when the economy took a turn for the worse. I can assure you that ACA is a great place for students to learn and grow, not only in academic knowledge, but also in the ways of the Lord! I am blessed to be a part of this ministry.

ACA offers a nurturing, healthy, safe enviroment with dedicated, talented and loving teachers for each grade from PK3-8th. Teachers for Music, Art, Spanish, Computer and Gym for each grade and ACA has a great Athletic Department. ACA offers great academics with many extra activities including Drama and Choir. ACA has small classroom sizes allowing individual attention when needed. ACA also offers an enviroment which allows parents to be involved, from helping at lunch time to being part of the PTA. Come and take a tour of the school and see the smiling faces on the students and the peaceful enviroment and of course all of the other great things ACA has to offer!

I have not been happy with this school for this entire school year. The principal is way too immature and falls short of what is needed for leadership. The school is just not organized and the kids are out of control. As for being a Christian school, the school itself, does not give the impression of Christ-like.

There are definitely issues here at this school. They have accepted kids that have been thrown out of other schools for behavior issues just to get enrollment up. I am all for helping kids in need if you have the resources to help. This school does not. Meanwhile, those kids are being huge disruptions in the classes that parents are paying a lot of money for their kids to be poorly educated. I will be looking at other schools in the area like.. Bethel Prep or Gloucester County Christian.

WOW! Combining classes and cutting teachers......this is definitely not a good sign. I do not want to pay all that money for my kids to be shuffled into a multiple grade classroom. What is going to happen next???? We are getting out of this school this year !

I think this school has good and bad points. I just feel the bad out-weigh the good. I know there has been some trouble with the church/school and the school has been greatly affected by those problems. I just don't see the 'great school' that ACA once was! This is my opinion and it seems to be the opinion of many this year. It is hard to say but, I will be looking for another school next year.

We live in a superior public school district but have chosen to pay tuition at ACA for the last 10 years because it's an investment in our kids' lives, not just their education. ACA offers small classes, dedicated and talented teachers (especially in fine and performing arts), a family atmosphere and academics complemented by broad extracurricular activities. Lots of private schools have lots of benefits, so find the best fit for your children, then get involved as a parent in the school.

If you are looking for an academically challenging program, individualized learning, in a christian enviroment this is the school for your child. All schools have their strengths and opportunities for improvement. Ambassador's biggest strength is it's teachers and administration. Your child's teachers will care and teach them in ways that will amaze you. The opportunities for improvement are: a more updated facility and a better lunch program. This school is definitely worth a visit. Better yet, talk to any parent helpers you'll see there. It will be worth your time.

I really had to write after reading the August 19th one-star review. It sounds exactly like a disgruntled former employee, especially the point about bashing the administration. Advertising other schools in the review was also unnecessary. My husband and I took our children out of the public school sytem because they were bored with the low standards. Ambassador's low class size allows teachers and admin. to identify students who need to move faster and allow them to do so. The Christian environment is an added benefit--many different denominations come to this school, but they all learn the golden rule and try to employ that in all areas of their life. Even reviews.

We had our 3 children attend ACA since they were in Pre K. We could not ask for a better environment for our children. Both former and current pastors have done a fantastic job. Academically and morally, this school is superior to NJ's public schools.

Ambassador Christian Academy has been so great for my child who has been there from 4th grade and will graduate in 2008. The school is a family and not an institution. They really care about your child and their well being. They look to nurture their spiritual well being while providing them discipline and a great education. The school is certainly not perfect, but where is there a perfect school? Overall, I would recommend placing your child(children) into ACA. It is a decision I will always be thankful that my husband and I made for our child.
