My son has made great strides since he started at Linden Avue School. His teachers are excellent!

Teacher quality is 4. My children have had excellent teachers who are caring, supportive and push them academically. They've always made themselves available to speak to me if I've had quesitons or issues to raise. Principal leadership is 4. The current principal really cares about the school. The students love him. Parent involvement is 5. The Home & School Association is extremely active. It offers extracirricular activities for students and does a tremendous amount of fundraising to supplement the school's budget. For example, it's purchased computers, playground equipment, books, supplies.

I am now with my third child at this school. the program is well-balanced and adresses the 'whole student.' Parental involvement is extensive but totally voluntary. The teachers are all committed and attentive to their students' needs. This new principal (3 yrs), although not as 'hands on' as the previous one was on the academics, has done a good job of maintaining quality.

This is a wonderful school with some really amazing teachers. My daughter has had a very positive experience at Linden. The lower grades really encourage parental involvement. We will miss Linden when my daughter goes to the middle school next year.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
