Love It ! They treat parents and their students the way every school should. My daughter recently graduated and wished she could turn back time.

the teachers are great but the schools food student interaction and leadership is not good.

Awful! A handful of the teachers are excellent, but then there those with emotional issues. There is no discipline which makes it difficult for the kids who want to learn and participate in school activities. It seems the administration has given up and doesn't care much. Kids seem to be generally allowed to do whatever they want. I would call it a zoo, but i don't want to insult animals, especially those that are in captivity against their will. I would rather liken it to a mental hospital where all the patients have Tourretes'.

i don't know what people are talking about, hackensack is a very excellent school. my kid learns a lot, but hey, i guess it really does depend on what type of child you raise. The parents that skip out on the meetings, and let there child do whatever they want, of course they are going to fail. Yet, if you are a parent who help there child succeed, and you help them, and actually care for them, then maybe your child will be a better student. but don't blame the school. The school acheives in academic excellece, and the teachers do all they can to help. SO in the end. blame it on the parents not he school or kids. With that said, Hackensack middle school is a good school overall, and i encourage you to send your child there

HAckensack Middle School is a wonderful school, I recently graduated from there [Class of 2008!] and I had a great year. Teachers are helpful, the principal is superb, and the rest of the staff is wonderful. HEre, teachers take their time to HELP students and guide them along the way. And yes, just like every other school, there are altercations but educational wise and even disciplinary wise, the school is GREAT. The Dean of Discipline [Mr. Goodman] does his job and does it well, I love this school and it is wonderful.
