Hamilton North-Nottingham High School

In 2010-2011, why did 36.5% of students not meet the math requirements for high school graduation? (NJ HSPA - proficiency test for graduation)? Why did only 60% take the SAT? And why did they score an average of 1418 when the state average is 1552?

We decided to move to Nottingham where it seems that all the kids and parents love the school. Oldest have graduated; one graduated from NYU and the other has one more year of college left. Youngest Child goes there now and we may be moving but she is insisiting that she wants to stay the remainder of her years. A tough challenge for us since we need to move to another state but we think that we can manage with her having only a year left. Nothing less than being the best ALL-AROUND school in the district. We have friends from the other schools and keep saying that they should have made a better decision instead of listening to neighbors and realtors on the schools.

As an alumni and current parent of a student attending NHS, NHS is by far the best of the three hamilton public high schools. They teaching staff is wonderful and the students excel in academics and sports. They do tend to get a bad reputation from the other high schools, but they are the best of the best. I am proud to have attended and pround that my child attends and has excelled. That is a tribute to the staff, many of which have been there since I attended! Thank you.

I'm currently attending NHS and I think that this school is a really good school. Our budget may be low, but it's not our fault-it's the township. Our athletics are amazing and our academics are understated. Unless you attend NHS as a student, you will never know just how great this school is. It has major potential, and we try very hard. I would rather attend NHS than Steinert or West.

Has to be the best education by far in this township. The teachers are great and the potential for growth and opportunities that follow were wonderful. My kids(2) really excelled in academic, sports and other extracuricular activities at this school

My children both attend Nottingham. They are very involved. The teachers have taken a genuine interest in them. Their encouragement and the opportunities they provided for my children have allowed them to thrive. Both kids love Nottingham and would not even consider going anywhere else.

I go to this school and I love its curriculums. It's great that they have language classes and Advanced Placement Courses that may count towards college credit. There are tons of extracurricular activities including(but not limited to): swim team, robotics team, ice hockey, basketball, math club, science club, french club, italian club, spanish club, key club, Caelestis (literature magazine), softball, soccer, and tennis. I absolutely love this school!

At Nottingham, I learned as much during the four minutes in the hallway between periods than in the classroom. Since going to college, I've realized that Nottingham gave me an education in life, especially socio-economic diversity. I appriciate all of my time at Nottingham.

Fantastic. A truly wonderful experience for my child. Other schools in the area claim to be the best and have a tendency to dump on Nottingham, but it's just not true. If a child does something wrong, the principal will correct it, not cover it up like a Steinert (which has a large underground drug trade).
