If you have a child with Autism this is not the town for you. I moved her 5 years ago from Haledon thinking I was given my child a better education and I was proven wrong. For the amount of taxes you pay in this town you would think they would have it together. They don t have the means nor are the teachers well trained. The case worker is a piece of work and prefers to medicate then work with the child. I was ever direct with the principle and his reaction was that he was used to it. That is not something to brag about, that that confirms that other people have complained & he isn t really concerned I m currently looking for a good lawyer, not just for my son but for other children whom fallen between the cracks.

The teachers don't pay attention too the students, the teacher's are rude, the children are mean and snobby, there is barely any extra curricular activities, and there is never any homework.

My child is a new student at LMS and she really loves it! I am happy about that. However, I am not happy about the fact that they do not have enough of certain textbooks to hand out to each child? Also, the class sizes are huge this year according to the open house I just attended. How can this happen in a town like Hawthorne?

Middle school has got to be the toughest age group to teach. The kids bodies and minds are going through enormous changes. The Administrators and Teachers at LMS know what they are faced with and conduct themselves professionally, authoratatively, and kindly. They must really, really love kids to put up with so much. I commend all of the Lincoln Middle School faculity. They are great!
