THIS SCHOOL IS NOT INNOVATIVE ENOUGH TO ENCOURAGE EXCELLENCE. THEY SPENT TOO MUCH TIME PREPARING FOR NJ ASK AND NOT ENOUGH TIME TEACHING.HAD THEY BEEN TEACHING ALL ALONG, KIDS WOULDN'T NEED TO SPEND MONTHS PREPARING FOR NJ ASK. SCHOOLS DESIGNATION AWARD AS BEST AND HIGHEST IS STILL NOT REFLECTING THE FACT THAT ACADEMICALLY THIS SCHOOL IS LACKING.BECAUSE THE AWARD AS HIGHEST AND BEST IS IN REGARDS TO MANAGEMENT, NOT ACADEMICS! LOADS OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT .

Educational facilities should foster a love for reading because, after all, reading is the cornerstone of learning. Hope School functions without a librarian, and students do not have a regularly scheduled library period. It is very catch as catch can when students can circulate books, and they receive absolutely no library science instruction. The library is run by a computer teacher who also has responsibility for the school's computer network, along with several volunteers. It is not a good situation, and while the previous superintendent Dr. Nastus, was taking steps to correct the situation, the current administrator refuses to address the problems.
