Hi I work at this school and I love it. The teachers and other staff members are really great. We all work for the better of the child, without thought for ourselves, In all situations, we work together to solve or find solutions that will better the outcome of our students education and will make well rounded individuals in the future. Our school motto is "At Cordero We Believe That Every Child Will Achieve" this is not just a motto, we truly do believe this. All teachers are working to improve the future of our students so that they may in turn be better citizens in our community. I have worked with all grade levels at this school as an Inlusion Teacher. I can honestly say that we are as one in our team, I could not be happier at Cordero. If you would like your child to acqure a top education and excellent social and civic concience and a sence of belonging to a school, this is the place for your child.
Some friends recommend this school to me. I am on the waiting list, hope to join the school ASAP
great school, my son first year, was honored student of the month April; 2013, His teacher, was great, this year Sept 2013, now retired my son excelled in all his classes, excellent staff. I am happy my son was placed in this school, great and concern staff. M.gonzalez Jersey city NJ
There are special education classes that affect test scores. It s good as elementary school. I didn t find any private elementary school with better curriculum.
This is a great school. Don't kid yourselves parents - charter schools or private schools with multi-thousand dollar price tags are no better. They might make YOU feel better, like you are being pro-active and actually doing something for the betterment of your kids, but your children are still getting the same level of education. All you need to do is take a look at the throngs of parents trying to get their children into the Kindergarten program to gauge this school's popularity. The school library could definitely use more resources, and an extreme makeover. Active parents only, please!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cordero staff especially the teachers Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Bina Kapadia who have been my son's prek-4 and Kindergarten teachers. The academics in Kindergarten is at par with any of the private school to the best of my knowledge. I am happy with my kid's progress. Singh's Family
I would like to take this opportunity to Thank All Cordero Staff employees for there outstanding work and professionalism. (Mr. Stryner,Ms. Rivera, Ms. Visone, Ms.Castella, Ms. Anderson, Ms. Keich, Mr. Farrior, RN Stone, Ms. Pilla, Mimi, and of course (Sonia). Thanks to all for your caring, support, communication and services provided to my 2 Angels. Sincerely, The Jordan's Family.
It's an excellent school. Great teachers and everything. I don't understand why this school is rating is 2/3 ?
This school has done alot for my kids and i can never find another way to repay all of the teachers
My daugther is in PK3. School is very good and teachers are excellent..specialy Miss Lech and Miss Rivera, my daugther loves her school thats something we really feel good about..
Both of my kids are attending Rafael Cordero, they have great teachers, excellent after school program and they are great in safety and dicipline
My son is in Kidergarden and was here for Pre-K also. I can't say enough how awesome the Pre-k staff is especially Mrs. Anderson. So far I am very impressed with his kindergarden teacher Ms. Grillo and all the things he is learning. His friends in private school are not doing anything more or better.
So far the school is great. The only thing that I would love is if they have a play area but I know it's difficult in this are to have BIG schools. The teachers are great, the security is good (very important) my daugther loves it what else can I ask? I love it.
This school is great ! . Clean, safe, & the students are well behaved .I had no problems being in fights, arguments or was a victim of bullying . The teachers are very educated. & can be very helpful friends to students. I consider this school a very safe environment for kids.
If I could rate this school I would rate it a 10 star rather than a 5 star. I switch my son to this school for 7th grade and he is now in 8th. The experience I had had is wonderful if I would have know of this school before I would have him attend from when he was in kindergarden. I felt welcomed from the first day I walked in and so had has he. He absolutly loves it at Cordero. The teacher are on top of things. I recommend this school to anyone who cares for their children. It has high academics.
My son has been attending this school since the kindergarten his is now in the first grade and so far it has been a great experience for our family. His teachers so far have been very supportive and effecient. I am involved as much as I can be while working full time . If I have a concern I just write it in his homework note book and I get a response right away. When issues have aross that I felt I needed to speak with the teacher they set up a confrence with me at a conveint time and we have dealt with the issues. Overall this school is great. Only thing is that they don't have a school playground and the first graders dont go on school trips. I think a trip to the zoo or a play would be good for them.
The Principal is the best! The teachers are fantastic! The school is safe, clean and a great learning environment.
One would have thought that given the location of this school there would be a greater focus on, and at the very least, basic academics period. Leave the child raising to the guardians and we can leave the score raising to them. You get what you pay for - nothing. Going private.
This is a good school with emphasis on learning. The only thing is that it does not have its own playground.
This is a good school in an ever evolving urban neighborhood. The teachers are great and with more parental involvement the school can be one of the top in JC.
