My son attended Oak Street School for 6 years. School was great the first 4. They are removing good teachers and put non qualified speech and other therapist. The Jewish community has destroyed the school system here. Me as a parent of a current student here do not recommend this school to any person with a special needs child. The Therapists at this school do not have the students interests first. They have a hidden agenda. Send children to surrounding Brick or Toms River schools.
My daughter attended this school since 1st to 5th grade, teachers are the best in the Lakewood Area, the Principal is a very profesional and enthusiastic person. They kept informed all the time with my daughter progress, I really appreciated the work and effort from most of the teachers. Also, the Latch Key Program is really good an affordable.
I am new to the area and have been very pleased with Oak Street School!! They put forth a lot of effort to raise funds for various programs. My daughter adores Ms. Kurek! The staff is very professional in their communication with parents. Keep up the great work!!
I am an Oak Street School Alumni as are my 3 brothers. I am very proud to have my daughter attend this school. Oak Street holds a higher standard, the teachers care, the principal is envolved with everything, and the rooms are well maintained. Security and cleanliness are always important to me. However, their speech department needs a little bit of work.
My daughter has been attending Oak Street Elementary since Grade-K. Her educators are vey informative and so far she is more than on point with her grade level each year. They rely on communication and honesty. They embrace potential learning and/or discipline problems in the beginning. My daughter enjoys it, she has learned alot, and gives alot of credit to her educators. With that, I feel secure in her schooling there.
