My daughter has been at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Academy since pre-k4- she's in the 6th grade now. There have been a lot of changes to the school- our principal, Miss Reid is the most dedicated principal I have ever encountered. She is all about the children- she is very involved and she tries her best to keep the kids feel like a family. The staff is also very wonderful- teachers are dedicated and the education that the children receive prepare them fully for high school. The tuition is very affordable/ reasonable, they have a great academic program- they learn computers and have the Acellus program where the kids can do school work on the computer by logging on at home- its really GREAT!! They also have a fantastic sports program- they offer cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, softball.....it's a terrific school- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!
My daugther currently attends The Academy and she loves it. I also had an older daughter that graduated from the school a few years ago. The school prepared her well for high school. The school has a real family atmosphere. They have a new principal that seems to be very involved with the students. They also have a lot of activities for all grades. I definitely would recommend the school.
My child is in the Pre-K program. She loves her teacher and has quickly learned all of her letters, their associated sounds, numbers (1 to 10, colors, shapes, patterns, and sooo much more. I'm very happy with the educational standards set forth in the school.
I have not had a good experience thus far. (Pre K) They teachers do not seem to be able to think outside the box -they give the children worksheets to do every day! No creativity. The principal is not involved with the children, and does not know what is happening in the classroom. There is no communication between the staff to help a child-only gossip. Not a nurturing environment.
I forgot to add in my last review, actually I ran out of space. The academy added new Pre-K classes for children starting at 2 1/2 years old. Did I say I really like this new principal? She is implementing some great ideas, I only wish they had this when my son needed it. Well at least I know if I have another child we he or she will go there for the new pre-k classes as well. Thank you.
This is a great school! They have programs for children with learning challenges as well as for the gifted children. They are an abundance of extra-curricular activities. The teachers are an extremely deicated group that who go above and beyond to help each child reach their potential. I highly recommend this school!!!
I have 2 children that attend. The school has provided my children with solid academics. The school is diverse and has many extracurricular activities. Most important we are a family.
My 3 years old doughter loves her teacher and enjoys goind to school. We never had any problems. What I personaly don`t like about the school is that there is not enought gym clases in the program.
