I am so relieved that my child is finally leaving this school. There have been nothing but problems at this school since the departure of the Sisters in 1992. The layperson principal who was first hired was a living nightmare. Treating tuition paying, volunteering parents as though they had no say about anything going on at the school. There was an incident at the school in 1993 in which the children were kept during a criminal crisis involving a parent of two of the students who was an FBI agent. The handling of this situation was beyond any belief. This principal hired members of the PTA to paying jobs even though there were people willing to volunteer for the same positions. Some of these people remain paid employees/their children attend for free. I was on the PTA and assure you money collected was used for personal entertainment (alcohol, etc.).

I am very proud of my (2) Saint Lawrence students. My oldest (Currently in 8th)is very involved with the NASA program. His class in 5th grade created what they called Gro-Muffins which were proven by the scientists of NASA to have the qualities needed to grow vegatables while the space craft is in space. They are currently involved in helping the children attain a patent and their muffins and they will be on the spacecraft that leaves earth for Mars in the near future!! A wonderful school. I am a very proud Saint Lawrence Mom!
