Washington is one of the best overall school in town. The teachers are committed in helping each child succeed. Both my children have been there since they were in Pre-K and they are thriving. I'm thankful for the teachers, staff, and principal.

If it wasn't for extreme personal reasons that forced me to move, thus forcing my kid to change schools, I would never have left my previous address until my son was done with grades K through 5 at Washington School. I Loved that school! No complaints! Loved Mr. Carafa and the kindergarten teachers Ms. Tronza & Ms. Patire. It was my son's first experience in school and we could not have asked for a better place to start his introduction into the world of learning. You completely forget all the horror stories you hear about public schools. Thank God for Washington Elementary. We will miss you...(hoping to find an address that will allow us to move back...:)).

The school is great. The principal is very involved with all of the students. The teachers do a great job, personally as well as academically. My daughter is in the first grade and learning so much. The PTA is very involved in school activities & fundraising. However, many of the parents from this school limit their interaction with other parents to their own cliques. In this regard, it's almost like being back in high school, with who's in and who's not. It's almost like they don't want to have more friends than who they already have. My daughter didn't go to Pre-K there, so this has put me at a disadvantage since there is already a parental clique that almost seems to be impermiable.
