Madison Jr School is the BEST. My second child will be graduating 8th grade this year and he and my older had such a great experience. The teachers are wonderful and the principal runs a tight ship. I could not ask for a better school as far as education and a genuine caring attitude of all the staff.
I have 2 children, one requiring special services and one who does not. The MJS is great for the student who doesn't need special services but falls extremely short for the student who needs the extra help. I feel the teachers are choose to enforce rules like no gum chewing, or the dress code that they either don't have time or would rather not make sure the child writes his/her homework down. In addition the teachers rarely fulfill the IEP requirements.
Since you have no reviews about this school in a long time, I suggest you check into this school. New Principal has turned the school around and this school has become the 'jewel of the district' - character education, peer leadership, academic rigour, numerous extra curricular activities!
