I decided to send my children to LCA after a terrible experience in the public school system. It was a tough decision but one that I do not regret. Sending my children to LCA is one of the best choices I have ever made. I feel comfortable dropping them off there everday. I know they are safe, loved and getting a wonderful education. Academically, LCA is head and shoulders above the public school systems. Unlike the public schools, they teach character, morals, respect for themselves and others and the love of Christ. They do receive health education starting in fifth grade. I do believe that this topic should be started at home and parents should not rely on the schools to teach their children about the 'birds and the bees', it's a sensitive subject that should be initiated at home. I dread the day my children will graduate from LCA.

Lighthouse Christian Academy , is the only place for a family in the area that wants a God centered cirriculum with a WELL ROUNDED aspect. My children , my Husband and I are thrilled to be here. I have three children and yes LCA has made some unusual dicisions in the past nut the helth and welfare of the children are always TOP priority. I hope you will decide to check our school out for yourself.

I love this school. My kids have been here for 14 years and I couldn't imagine a better environment for them. I totally disagree with the other review claiming that after 4th grade they get no health education. That is completely false. They have a well rounded curriculum and it sounds like this parent has a child who cannot conform to the rules. This is the only school for my family.

This school is wonderful for pe-school thru about 3rd-4th grade after which the social aspects that children start to develope is absolutly ignored. There is no health education for these growing bodies therefore no understanding or direction for the kids. The demerit system that is in place does not ajust for the vast variety of personalities that you will find in children and the rules are not the same for everyone. Any type of violence should never be tolerated irregardless of who's child was involved. Therefore I feel that the demerit system requires another look as well as how to deal with adolecence instead of trying to ignore what nature will continue to do at different speeds for all children. You can't not talk about the physical, emotional and hormonal changes and assume that parents will take care of these topics. Parents pay tuition for a well rounded education and personalized teaching.
