Chesterbrook Academy is closing! Since the change in administration the school went totally downhill. The school lost its family environment. Used to be a wonderful place where the kids not only got the best education, but they were also safe and part of a wonderful family. Good Job NOBEL!

My child has attended the school for about one year now. The campus is lovely and the faculty is friendly. However, parents who seek high end learning strategies for strong learners will find the school disappointing. In the area of academics, the school is missing the wow factor. I am seeing writing and reading efforts that fall short in several areas. Stories are often cut out and pasted on to construction paper a lost opportunity to have children strengthen their writing abilities. What concerns me most is the need for stronger parent-teacher communication. More needs to be done to include all subject teachers in the communication process.

This is my second year there and I am very happy with the pre-k and all of the faculty that my children have been involved with. There have been changes in administration in the past year but I feel it is for the better.

I am very disappointed with the school. Many changes have been implemented, with no follow through. No administration in place at this point. Scary thought!

The school was wonderful when we first enrolled and that was because of the old principal. The new principal has now only been there for one month and is changing everything for the worst. It's ashame since the teachers are great and my kids loved it. I am now looking into other schools because of this.

Very poor quality of education. This is a school that cares more about its own finances than the children's education. Emphasis is given on discipline and curriculum of one grade in advance. The latter is not done effectively at all. They boast that children are ahead, when in reality they are not. The parents are responsible for doing all the work. More pages of homework are sent home than classwork, so that one wonders what do they do for all these hours in the day. For all the extra things the say they do, watch out: a very bookish approach without any result, e,g, the teach spanish in preschool, the age when children are the best language learners, but they do so in a way that emphasizes reading and writing, when children could benefit and become fluent speakers in no time. Read carefully the contract before you sign it!

Great preschool to Kindergarten experience. Teachers and environment helped foster a healthy introduction to schooling for my kids. The faculty is truly great and work well with bringing out the best in the children.

Quality - High. Agressive academics. Music/art/sports/extra curr activities - everything excellent. CAPA involvement is good.
