This is an awesome school ,especially if your child is special needs. The teacher there Mrs. Wright is great and we came from another district and the teacher was awful and my son had her for 2 years so Mrs. Wright made all the difference in the world and my son adapted to her class right away. He made the honor roll and also won too many awards to count in one year. She saw the potential in him I always knew was there. Also my daughter had some issues but not in a special class and Mr. Johnson was great with her.I wish he would move to 1st grade so she can have him again. This school has top notch teachers. Sorry to say my son is moving on to JMT and won't have Mrs. Wright but I have my fingers crossed. He'll miss Centre City and Mrs. Wright.
I attended this school from kindergarten until the day I graduated 6th gr. in 1991. I know that was a long time ago, but out of curiosity I decided to look this school up. As I read the reviews I saw that this school has not lost it's awesomeness. I have since moved from NJ, but if I were to still live there in my previous nieghborhood, I would definately send my child to this school
GREAT school! GREAT teachers! Above all of the rest, they teach your child character building and self-esteem. They teach them to love learning and going to school. What more could you ask for? GREAT JOB CENTRE CITY!
This school is top notch and I am being very honest. Many children who move here from other areas have had a tough time at first adjusting to the school's level of curriculum. I know of many parents of new student who were very concerned at first because of this. But don't be alarmed because the teachers and other staff members will make sure your child is up to speed in no time. They also have a very good gifted and talented program. Families are very involved with the school and their children in this area. I just can't say enough good about this school. I have had children in this school starting with 1998 right up to this current day. My youngest is in 2nd grade. Excellent teachers and administration also.
I would also like to add that Mrs. Wright, who is the special education teacher at Centre City, is irreplaceable. With the challenge of providing a learning experience for children with an array of special needs, she is is phenomenal and it is obvious she loves her job. She personalizes her teaching methods depending on the needs of the child. My son spent two years in her class and has done so well he no longer requires special education. If your child requires special education, be assured that they will be in the best of hands with Mrs. Wright.
Centre City is a great school, my kids are doing so well the teachers are wounderful they care about each individual student education. The Principal Diana Coffi is great you can tell she Loves her job because it really dose show and the children Love her, the school is wounderful and it all because of there hard work and dedication that is but in by everone who works there and that's what makes Centre City a Great School and I am so happy my children are a part of it. This school is amazing! Comming from the City of Philadelphia School District to Centre City was the best move I could have made for my family. The kids are doing great in school and are having fun at the same time. The teachers and the staff at Centre City went above and beyond my expectations. If your looking for a great school for your family, Centre City is your only option.
My son is the first of my three to go to school. I was very nervous about it and worried whether or not he would enjoy it, particularly learning. I have nothing but great things to say about this school. The children are recognized, they are happy, and my son loves going every day. Mrs. Longo is an incredible principal who literally knows each and every one of her students. That is very important in my opinion. Each one of my sons teachers that he has had so far have been attentive and they are always there to answer any questions you may have. I agree with J Law, I am very happy that we live in Mantua and that my kids attend an excellent school. Thanks Centre City!
High marks - the students are treated with respect. Individual talents are encouraged while supporting respect for self and others. Great environment for learning and creativity.
I love this school! This is my son's second year and it feels like home. The principal is attentive to the kids and commands their respect. The teachers are excellent with the kids and really show a love for them. I am so glad that we live in Mantua and have the opportunity to be a part of such a special school.
