Tighe school is a good school, don't get me wrong, but '07/'08 was chaos, they went all that time without a principal. And they are so behind the status quo for technology. there are no lunch numbers, you need to bring cash to buy lunch. And if you forget mony, or bring a 10 dollar bill or up, you're out of luck, they wont give you an IOU unless you are really on their good side.

Well I couldn't agree with the review more of I tried! Tighe school might have been a great school 10 years ago but I think it is a terrible school now. The principle is overwhelmed and doesn't know how to handle anything. He thinks that handing over detentions and suspensions is going to solve the bullying problem. He need to get to the root of the problem and he knows who they are. The bullying is so out of control at this so called school.

Whoever wrote the first review must not have attended the same Tighe School my children did. Eugene A. Tighe School provided my three children with a high quality of education, excellent teachers, fun and valuable sports teams, and long lasting relationships. All of my children graduated with honors from Tighe School. Tighe School gives every student an equal opportunity to excel, and if a child uses this opportunity, he or she can be very successful. As a parent, I was involved in the sports programs and school dances. 'Cliques' are present at every school, so pointing that out as a negative thing about Tighe, should not really be a consideration. I hope that future parents look beyond the first parent's review and send their children to Tighe as well. I wish I had gone to Tighe when I was a child and I'm glad my children went there. -Bus

Tighe School looks good on the outside, but is rotten on the inside. Bullying problems are not resolved, and are left to the ineffective Peer Mediation program. The most worthy students often go unrecognized because they are not part of the inner circle of the town. The gifted program is overcrowded and similarly corrupt. Students are pushed to perform like show animals, and so earn good test scores, but they learn almost nothing in the process. Furthermore, student life is devoid of meaningful activities. Social life is cliquish and exclusive. Students who don't fit a rich- athletic-achiever mold are shunned. I weathered the tough social conditions, thinking it was a worthy trade off for the good education I was getting, but in retrospect, I see I was merely jumping through meaningless hoops and not learning. I would not attend Tighe School again, knowing what I know about it now.
