I am not sure how or what they do exactly but I do see the results! My son has been with Ms. Lisa's class for a year and a half. She is phenomenal, dedicated and really cares. The administration values and knows each child and they have a program that seems to be working fantastically. My son started writing random words at 2.5 at home, and he really enjoys reading and learnig. He learns a ton of advanced concepts each day. He is very neat and that's because of their disciplined system that fosters responsibility. All around A++ I was a little nervous at first because it's not the conventional type of school system one may be used to, but the results say it all. I'm so glad I found this school situated in a beautiful atmosphere.

If you desire a school setting that challenges each child in each classroom to achieve their individual best, then MMA is that school. I have three children attending the school currently (Third Grade, Kindergarten and Pre-School) and I am thrilled at what a caring, familial environment my children enjoy. They are thrilled about learning, and the teachers demonstrate mastery in their field and in the unique Montessori philosophy. MMA is what learning should look and feel like in the 21st century: problem-solving, integrating disparate ideas and disciplines, character development in each daily interaction.

Highly recommended. After 4 children, I have high expectation for education and have truly found it in MARLBORO MONTESSORI. The kids are constantly challenged to excel in such a friendly, beautiful atmosphere! The staff are all so dedicated, knowledgable and loving!

Great great shcool. It is the best decision I made to transfer my son to MMA. Everything has been wonderful. They are always thinking about how to improve to make it better for the children. Children here are nourished and blossomed. Highly recommend.

Wonderful school, with wonderful, educational, fun activities for the students. This was our daughter's first year, and she absolutely loves the program. MMA also offers activities in which the parents can be involved such as a Father Daughter Dance, a Spring Show, etc. This school is highly recommended from me, a very protective parent:)

My 3yr old daughter attends the academy with glee everyday! This is her second yr at the school and she has made amazing progress. Her desire to learn along with retention of information keeps on flourishing. She has asked me to teach her how to read and is making wonderful progress with it. She has started simple addition at home now. She comes home this week telling us what the continents are and various detailed info about each one. The vast exposure she gets to a well-rounded knowledge base in a fun environment which promotes learning in so many creative levels is more than we ever expected! She is so happy and well-adjusted. She loves going to school everyday which is so thrilling to us. As parents we feel at home with the teachers and staff without issues ever in communication. Any needs have promptly been addressed. They are extremely flexible and strongly encourage parent involvement. My only regret is not having sent my older daughter here.

Marlboro Montessori Academy has been a second home to our family since we moved to New Jersey. I attended Marlboro Montessori, my children attended Marlboro Montessori and my brother s children attended MMA! We credit Marlboro Montessori with helping our children into elementary school and some, middle school. I am so proud to say my children are honor students with a drive towards learning and helping others. Thank you for the GREAT Platform! Our whole family has found warm, long-lasting friendships with the other students and parents. We have such great memories of Marlboro Montessori Academy and will always be part of our special memories. Thank You!

Our two grandchildren attend Marlboro Montessori I cannot say enough good things about it. My grandson has been there three years and this is the first year for my granddaughter. The progression we have seen with both our grandchildren has been very gratifying.

A terrific school, teachers are so caring with the students. Other schools that I looked at just did not compare. The attention to detail here with the learning activities as well as the recreational is impressive. My daughter is only 2, I am amazed at what she has been able to adapt to as well as learn at such an early age-- best of all, she loves going to school as much as I love sending her.

Marlboro Montessori is an amazing school. This fall my son began attending their pre-K program and I have seen a complete transformation in him. The amount of information he has learned from geography, math concepts and letters is tremendous. He loves learning - this is due to the amazing teachers and staff and the nurturing classroom environment. Marlboro Montessori is giving my son a passion for learning and a solid foundation that will benefit him far into the future.

My daughter has been a student for 3 years now, and I cannot express in words how happy I am that she has attended such a wonderful place. The teachers and staff go above and beyond the call of duty. The programs offered, both during and after school, are culturally diverse, inspiring, and creative. My daughter, who is adopted from China, has thrived in this environment. When we drop her off at school she is full of energy and smiles. When we pick her up she's full of energy and smiles. I will be sad when she graduates from MMA next year.

Back in 1994 I was looking for a preschool to send my son. I called the Marlboro Montessori Academy because they were only 3 miles away and imediately felt confortable. The owner Jean Avery, the staff and the facility were far beyond my expectations. My son went there for 3 years. I am now a grandmother and my grandson is 23 months and he now goes there as well. He looks forward to going to the school and comes home very happy. He is a very outgoing and happy child but his social skills have definitely improved while being there. What more can you ask for.

My son attended this school for 2 years of Pre-K and now in K. I cannot express how wonderful the program and teachers are. My son is reading at a far greater level than his age group and is very advanced in mathematics. He has a solid foundation to build upon as he continues with his education. In addition to the academic achievements, his social skills have developed wonderfully with terrific life skills. As a parent, I have also always felt that he was safe and nurtured while in school. Marlboro Montessori is an investment in your child!

Great school! I had sent my second son to this school for pre-k and K(2 years). He enjoyed learning so much that he thinks learning is part of his life. He learned reading and math in school just like magic because we couldn't 'make' him do it even we were very successful on our first one. Montessori really built a solid foundation for him. The most important is that he has a very good learning attitude. Now he is in 1st grade in a public school. His math and reading is top in his class. He will take telented tests for both reading and math recommended by his school. The only thing a little bit annoying is that he keeps saying he wants to go to second grade.

We cant say enought about this wonderful school. The teachers have done an excellent job to foster a nurturing environment and a creative fun way of learning. My two daughters both attend the school and love going there everyday.

We are in our 4th year at Marlboro Montessori and have 2 children there now. My son has just started their Pre-K program and my daughter is in the middle of her K year. The environment is fantastic and does an excellent job of fostering an excitement for learning in each and every child. Their creative process and self-paced learning allows for a child to learn at their own pace, and in their own way, without the pressures of rating themselves against their peers. I would highly recommend this learning environment from Pre-K through K. While they do have classes through 3rd grade I don't have first hand experience with their 1-3 programs. My biggest concern with my daughter having completed Pre-K through K at this school is how much more she's learned than the typical K student.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
