My children have been at this school for the last 16 years. The academic program is excellent and the teachers are very committed. The principal is superb and has been at the school for over 15 years. There is art, music, Spanish, physical Education, computer technology. Extracurricular activities include student council, yearbook committee, soccer, basketball, softball and cheerleading. The parent involvement at St. Joan of Arc is extremely high.
I have 2 children in St. Joan's and a third will be there in another 1 1/2 years. It is one of the best decisions we have ever made. Every time I have come into the school I have always felt at home. The halls are clean, student work is always proudly displayed, and learning is always happening. We are up to 4th grade now and have not had a teacher yet who did not show care and concern for our children's educational and social needs. We love the emphasis on brain compatibility and learning, the plays and musicals which involve all students, the special area classes they receive, the emphasis on learning the basics before moving on, and of course, the fact that morality and religion are a part of every day life! We are confident our children will be more then prepared for high school and beyond!!
Excellent school, you get what you pay for and not many schools could provide our children with the values and religious learning that SJA can. It is a matter or preference but I love that my child spends his learning week with the children of parents who share my beliefs. Environment is everything and I appreciate that my child is in a Catholic learning center.
The combination of academic excellence AND a small, loving environment makes St. Joan of Arc the perfect school. The school's abililty to nurture and shelter while providing a top-notch education is why my third child will be starting kindergarten in the fall!
