Excellent, dedicated teachers, great arts programs. Teachers readily available for extra help. Stong HSA (PTA) involvement.
Good school. Need to do more with their reading literacy program - teaching the basics.
This is a very friendly, caring school with high standards that makes children feel valued.
I moved from CA to NJ because of the schools. Hilltop provides a nurturing environment, both academically and emotionally. The only thing lacking academically is phonics. Hilltop does not teach enough of this. Curriculum includes Spanish, computers, Library, Music, Art and Gym. Third grade students are offered a strings program and Fourth graders can take band. Parent Council puts together a wonderful Arts program exposing the kids to a variety of arts, culture, stage, music etc. The parents are encouraged to become involved.
