I feel overwhelmed whenever I am asked to give my opinion of this school. Words cannot express how much my husband and I love this school....it was the best possible choice for our freshman son and well worth the tuition we pay. I am not exaggerating when I say that my son is addicted to St. Joe's...he ALWAYS wants to be there! He played freshman football this past fall and is now on the freshman basketball team. He also joined a few clubs. To say that he has developed friendships with the other boys doesn't do these relationships justice. When my son walked through the doors of St. Joe's, he joined a brotherhood that has nothing to do with race or economics, but is based on a mutual educational experience. St. Joe's has provided my son with the most well-rounded and amazing academic, athletic and social experience. The curriculum is challenging and I know that he will be adequately prepared to handle the challenges of any elite college upon graduation from St. Joe's.
As a recently graduated student I can say with conviction that attending Saint Joseph high school was the best decision of my life. Some people claim my Alma Mater is soft on drugs, discipline, etc all I can stay to that is the ones making these comments are wrong. It is always said that there are three things the school will not look the other way: weapons, drugs, and attacking a teacher. The administration will throw you out with out a second thought. They have thrown out millionaires' children, big sport people, etc. They are committed to the notion that at St Joe's excellent is a habit, not a goal. The school's academic record speaks for itself. How people can talk down this school is beyond my comprehension. I have not formed many friendships at St Joe's, but I have formed brotherhoods. In my opinion it would be insulting to the men I went to school with to call them mere friends, they are much more, they are my brothers, and I would do anything for them. It saddens me to think that I will never be a student here again, but it brings me joy to think that one day I will have the honor to send my son here. God bless this school Bros Ronald, Ron, Paul, Mr Lechner thank you.
St. Joe's provides a positive learning environment for its students. My son if finally happy to go to school each day. The friendships and fraternal atmosphere create strong bonds for the boys. St. Joe's teachers know their students and care about their success. Bravo!
this school is the worst. It is very political and unfair. drugs run rapid trough the halls and the school covers it up with talks of good academics and a catholic teachings. so if you want to open your wallet for 11.000 dollars a year just to waste your money be my guest.
I cannot begin to express what a wonderful school St. Joe's High School is. My son is a Freshman and plays on the baseball team. He just loves the school, students and teachers. The teachers go above and beyond to help any student in need. This school teaches respect, maturity and creates good morals. We are now part of the St. Joseph Family. I could go on and on. The school is superb!
We can honestly say that enrolling our son in St. Joe's was the best thing we could have done for him. He is a junior and is in his third year there. He has developed a confidence and maturity that we feel is a direct result of the level of committement from the faculty and administration. His plan is to go to medical school and we know that his goal is being fostered by the St. Joe's team.
With our first year coming to an end I have been extremely happy with St. Joe's. Each teacher has gotten to know my son and they go above and beyond to get their students motivated and working to potential.
St. Joseph's has a wide range of academic courses that each student is required to take for graduation. The school's strength lies in its ability to create a well taught liberal arts education with a strong foundation in the sciences. Even if a student only takes the minimum required courses he will still receive an excellent education. The school continually strives to create new clubs and activities where they see fit and also are consistently strong in athletics. Many clubs and activities are offered after school, which supplements the learning process in the classroom. Parents are also involved in many different school activities through the Mother's Club and the Father's Club. Parents also service as an example of a continual committment to the community beyond St. Joseph's. In summary, it is a school with a focus on the entire individual through learning, service, and extacurricular activities.
Excellent curriculum with very caring brothers and teachers. They truly believe in their credo. Lots of extracurricular activities and an exceptional sports program.
My son graduated in 2001 and was offered many scholarships. The administration and faculty are outstanding. You and your son will become part of the St. Joe's Family, which no public school can offer. My son and his classmates loved the school. Sports are tops also.
