It is run by an extremely dedicated staff working to successfully prepare our children. My children graduated from SBHS and i was, and continue to be, very satisfied with the level of education they received.

The school tries to make sure that every kid has a place in the school to call home. There is incredible spirit fostered by the world-class music department but there are clubs and activities offered for all. And for kids who don't usually join, staff intercedes to find a place for them!

Why does everyone think there's so much gang activity at SBHS? Have you been there? Sure there are some 'gangsta' kids, but they're not hard core thugs, just high school punks. Parents who are concerned about their kids being exposed to gang violence should take a look at some of the schools in New Brunswick and Trenton where there are armed police officers and metal detectors at the doors, then they'll see what real gang violence looks like. Im a sophomore at SBHS and I have never seen anything more severe then a 'bomb threat' last year that was just someone scribbling 'Halloween is the bomb' on the bathroom wall and a couple of fights where there wasn't anything more violent than shoving match. Parents need to relax and realize they aren't in Newark.

Well being a student here at South Brunswick High School has been an amazing experience, the teachers and staff are amazing and the learning is great. The teachers know how to make students learn. Safety is not a huge problem. We have all monitors guarding every entrance to the school and we have security cameras. There is no gang activity here because I and most students think nothing ever happens in South Brunswick because we're pretty safe. People don't know how lucky students are at this school. we have fire drills 2 times a month, lockdown drills, and if there is a bomb threat at school, the school does a lot to ensure the safety of the kids. We evacuate the school and go into the football stadium and wait for further instructions. South Brunswick is great. I love it.

For the 4 months I been at South Brunswick it has been the most insightful experience. I belive that every school has its kinks. No school is perfect. I think that some schools are far more better at covering it up rather than it actually being what it implies.

I do not find South Brunswick High School to be a good school at all. Gang activity seems to be very much on the rise at the high school and it doesn't seem to be getting better. There is such a difference from the middle school level which seemed fine.

The South Brunswick High School has been deteriorating since 2003. High quality teachers are much less than before. Safety and descipline are a major issue. Bullying, gang activities are on the rise. We don't feel our kids are safe when they are dropped off at school and after school activities are not tightly monitored. Number of students became inflated and therefore out of control at both academic and safety levels. Elementary and Middle school are still relatively holding up.

There are hundreds of after school activities ranging from sports to clubs to volenteering. The teachers are always willing to stay after school if a child needs extra help and late busses are available everyday for all studets. The insturmental program is amazing. Some of the principles can be a bit annoying but others work really hard and make sure the students are being taught properly. Plus, everyone takes percoutions to make sure the school is safe (2 fire drills a month, about 4 bomb drills a school year, and bathroom sign-ins). Overall, the school is one of the best.
