At MCS, the teachers are responsive, methodical, and most importantly, caring. A special note, if you speak a language other than English at home, no worries. The teachers are very understanding, considerate, and patient, as they were in the case of our son. Three years ago, we had to move our son to MCS from a cookie-cutter chain place. What a refreshing difference it made! We witnessed with marvel that each day our son became happier and more confident. In a very short period of time, he turned into a completely different child! The teachers and children embraced him with care, patience, and friendship. MCS had practically become a second family for our son. Suffice it to say that a lot of times he couldn't wait to leave us in the morning to go there, and didn't want to come home at the end of the day. Sadly our family had to relocate recently. It was considered a loss by us, that our son couldn't continue to go to MCS. We are forever grateful that MCS was such a positive and nurturing part of our son's life. The time he spent with MCS will always remain the best part of our memories. THANK YOU MCS!

I looked at 20+ daycares, including in-home/private, schools & centers. MCS was the only one where I felt comfortable enough to send my then 4-month-old son. The school is homey, relaxed, and encourages creativity, individuality, and outdoor activity. My son (now almost 2) is absolutely thriving there. He loves going to school, gets tons of outdoor time and physical activity, and has learned a lot. Most importantly, he is well taken care of and is really loved by his teachers and friends. I can't imagine sending him anywhere else.

This school certainly isn't for everyone. There is grass outside (the playground must 1.5 acres fenced) & with grass comes mud, dirt, & messy clothes Inside things do not look like a typical childcare center. Projects are ongoing and often left to dry/come back to, on a table. This might be an issue for a smaller center, but for them if one table is being used for art, there are others available for work jobs, lunch, etc I watched teachers sanitize everything after the children had cleaned up, but the teachers didn't do all the cleaning up for the children. Children washed their hands before & after every transition (the teachers even made up a song: "fronts and backs and in betweens...", to ensure t their hands were washed for 20 seconds+) If you want your child to be treated like an individual with needs, feelings, & wants, be exposed to an EXCELLENT curriculum that introduces things like Division, Multiplication, Subtraction, and Addition in Pre-K, has an excellent record of getting kids reading, works with your child's interest to create a curriculum for them. If you want a place where you know they will feel loved, cherished, &safe, this is the place for you.

I found this school while looking for something affordable in town. Yes this school was affordable but I quickly learned why. In the short time my daughter was there , there seemed to be a revolving door of teachers and there was not enough teachers to handle the children there. The education of the children was poor. I was highly disappointed because they made the school sound so quaint through the website, mailing and meetings. Once I realized how the school was really run, I removed my child as quickly as possible and moved her to a better program in the next town over.

My children have been given a gift: this place! They learned so much this year, and none of it is ditto sheets or busy work. They love their school. They have beautiful manners. The school is on a farm, so they garden and go on nature walks on the property, and the playground alone must be 2 acres. My kids get lots of active play, sleep well, and want to go back to school.

As a parent that is dejected about everything in my child's world becoming 'cookie cutter', Moorestown Children's School was a refreshing option. I recommended MCS for any parent who has a little boy or girl that enjoys interacting with nature - a game of tag on green grass, planting a garden, or imagining a whole new world! MCS brings education outside and the outside inside too. The teachers there listen, even if it takes several times to understand a little one. Needless to say, I am happy and my little boy is happy. A perfect place for a parent more interested in 'childhood' then 'color in the lines'.

That was one of the best things! My little guy loved going out after nap, meeting up with his big buddies, petting the ponies that come down to the playground fence. Lots of siblings playing together. They always had enough staff.

In my opinion, this school would be wonderful if they acutally did what they tell you they do! In the short time my son attended MCS the toddlers (18mo-2yrs olds) were sent out to play with the 3-5 yr. olds with only two teachers to look over 15+ students in the 'big' kids playground. Never once did I see them actually playing in the toddlers playground that was showed to me when I interviewed the school. That was not acceptable to me!! Bottom line, in my opinion this school (for babies/toddlers) is understaffed and not a safe environment for curious toddlers!
