What I like about Fleetwood is the technology used in the classrooms, the civic mindedness culture and how they get the kids to care about the less fortunate etc, the principals involvement and movement throughout the building, and how active and involved the PTO is. What I dont like about Fleetwood is the lack of understanding when dealing with the needs of atypical children (in inclusion classes w/teachers who dont have the slightest iota what to do with them) and making the necessary accomodations; the front office staff; the lack of empathy from the CST; and the assumption that everyone is a SAHM; as if working moms are a novel idea or less capable parents.

Fleetwood School is a warm, caring environment. The teachers love their jobs, their co-workers, and the children. The classroom teachers manage to work with all abilities effectively and the specials teachers are creative and wonderful! Fleetwood is a community centered school where families are welcomed to the classrooms. Many parents are involved and the PTO does amazing things!!!!

Fleetwood is a great school with fabulous teachers and programs. The gym teacher has come up with creative ways to keep our kids moving and healthy. The special education support and therapies are top notch.

The academics seem good here, I think they can be a little too easy at times. The kids are offered music and PE twice a week and art class once a week. They do weekly library visits also. Parent involvement is wonderful! The PTO is great here. Overall I'm very satisfied with this school!

I have a child that is an overachiever and was sugested by the teachers to have her place up to the next grade. The pricipal promised to test her -and move her up if she past the testing. But the principal waited untill the middle of the following school year to test her. From child and teachers admitted to hindering the child durang at least one of the tests. In the rest of the tests, the child was found tested from middle to the highest of the next grade-level, but the prinicipal refused to move her up. So, for the rest of the school year, the teacher admitted that the child seems to not be learning anything (new), and doesn't have the time to teach the child the skills that she is capable of. The Fleetwood principal is uncaring for student welfare, and incapable of doing her job properly.
