Harmony is a great school with loving teachers and staff. I know my son is well cared for there. he is challenged daily with work appropriate for his grade level. He is given great homework that reinforces his school work. He is encouraged to work hard- and he does!

We have been in Harmony school for five years. Acaademics are very good and my children have done well and have always seemed happy there. Music program is good. Same parents involved all the time. The school is big and staff seems to keep parents at a distance. Kids eat lunch in their classrooms. Harmony lacks that warm and fuzzy feeling. Overall, Middletown township Board of Education has too many problems that I don't think will ever be resolved.

We are just starting Harmony and the biggest problem I see is they still have half a day kindergarten. This is crazy. Considering all they have to do to be ready for 1st grade, a mere 2.5 hours a day doesn't give them much time at all. The class enviornment has to be rushed many times they hardly have enough time to eat their snacks because of time. The actual cirriculum seems good including spanish and regular trips to the library. The kindergarten should be extended to a full day.

My daughter has been in Harmony school for 2 years. There is no lunch room, they eat in the classrooms. The school libary is about 9 x 9 very small. The classrooms are over crowded. Middletown township does not care about education. I could go on and on about how bad this school is. There is no auditorium. They put folding chairs in the gym when the school has events or plays. I would suggest a private school or not moving into this district. There are no reading programs. My daughter found a knife on the playground. The lunch teachers do not watch the kids on the playground. They stand in a circle chatting! But the BOE braggs about how much money they saved per student in middletown this year... Makes you wonder!
