West Side High School is the only Newark School that has a real Bank located inside of it. Capital One Bank has partnered with our school and students and has built a functioning bank branch in our school where students, staff, parents, and community members can bank. Our students actually serve as real tellers and bank managers with real life hands on experiences. This initiative has been an overwhelming success and is a major unique highlight of West Side High School. We also have an outstanding School to College and Careers Program which provides valuable opportunities and experiences for our students. We have a National Academy of Finance (NAF) located at our Morton Street Campus, an outstanding debate team, a state championship football team, and we are in the planning stages of building a brand new school which is projected to be completed by 2014.
