Hi. I am Anneliese Engle's Grandma Gayle. I live in California. I visited Anneliese in Newark last summer. Anneliese visited me in California for Christmas. I wanted to write to you to say how impressed I was with Anneliese's reading and writing skills. She has made such improvement since beginning the school year and we could not believe her ability to recognize words, sound out letters, and write in sentences. You are doing a great job in helping students get a great start and we wanted you to know how much we appreciate all that you do for our granddaughter. Happy New Yer. Grandma Gayle and Grandpa Mike - Ventura, CA

Our school received an award of $100,000 because our students have attained AYP (Acceptable Yearly Progress) for several years consistently.
