Queen of Angels is one of the best catholic schools in the City of Newark. QA has been the leader of catholic education for over 47 years. becaue of the knowledge taught at the school's strongest qualities, I was able to attend Marist High School and now hold a bachelor's degree in Finance. They do not and will not lower their standards for any reason.

I could not be more happy with a Newark school. My daughter graduated at the top of her class and attended St. Vincents Academy. She then went on to the College of St. Elizabeth. The staff at Queen of Angels was caring, compassionate, and took no nonsense from parents. They had one mission and that was to insure all children a positive education that would encourage them to obtain higher education. My only complaint is that parents do not volunteer to better their children's education.

I dislike this school very much there is actually NO ADULT SUPERVISION. The school has absoulutely NO PROGRESSIVENESS FOR STUDENTS. There is a need for more classroom attention.Students are left unattendent for long periods of time. This isn't a Catholic Environment . There is a need for more aids, volunteers,a better principal etc. Try Charter Schools instead. Just close the school down.

This is a wonderful school. I have three children currently enrolled in this school and I am very happy with the quality of education they are receiving. The school has a safe environment for my children and it is like one big family were every teacher knows every child.

I graduated in 2004...and there are teachers there that care. They may be strict and there was often favoritism but what school doesnt have star students? Teachers are human beings but at the same time what can you do? In Queen of Angels work is done and you earn your grades. You can sit there and not do work if you want to because you will receive no credit. I attended Q of A from 1995 until 2004. From 1st grade until 8th grade. The principal is only doing her job. She may have been really strict and intimidating but that is a personality. And the food was always good. Go Sheila! Sheila was the cafetria woman when I graduated June 04 and she is still there. I do service there every Tuesday because now I am a Senior in HS and the students and education are still ran the same.

I taught at Queen of Angle for seven years. It is a wonderful place. Queen of Angel was my first teaching position. I learned so much from the other teachers. It is a place of nurturing and growth. I am so proud to be a teacher who taught a Queen of Angel.

I graduated from Queen of Angels and think it was a wonderful school. I was there for 5 years and there was never any fighting. When I got to high school I was really prepared as we had read Lord of the Flies and Animal Farm and had a year of Spanish and Pre-Algebra. The teachers were always there for you. The only bad thing was the food. But we had lots of choices each day. My mother always tells her coworkers about Queen of Angels.

I graduated from Queen of Angels in 2002 and will graduate from high school this June. Because of QA I was alwasy in honors classes. Whenever I needed extra help in high school I could always go back to QA and get any extra tutoring. I will be attending college on scholarships that I learned about from QA. It was and still is a wonderful school.

My child attends QOA and it's sad to say that it's a waste of money. My child came from public school and proved herself as a straight 'a' student at qoa, however the school lacks drive & professionalism. They are bias & doesn't care about the students-the classrooms are overcrowed, they say 18-try 30 they worry more about the money than quality education. There are no after school activities or programs. Public schools have more to offer than QOA. The school is horrible! what happened to the teachers that actually cared. For a catholic school there aren't any nuns and the staff dress code is terrible no examples there. I'm extremely disappointed in this school academically. I urge you to look elsewhere, this place is not designed to help our children get ahead, this was definitely a waste of time and is our last year, I truly believe this school is holding our children back!
