We believe that many of our middle school children are prepared for high school. The majority of the graduating class go to a receiving district. There are a few who go to the local parochial or vocational school. I like the relationships between student, parent, and school staff. When our students attend the public high school, many do extremely well in the academics, arts, and sports. The number of high school grads who continue on with their schooling are approximately 85%. We could improve in a few areas. Communication between all "parties" would be beneficial. Parent/child, parent/staff, and student/staff relationships could always improve. A positive relationship between the sending districts and the receiving district could also benefit from "open and positive" communication. Looking out for one another's best interests are important, but most important are our students and their needs. Lastly, it would be great to be able for all of the public schools to get back to teaching and not to feel the weight of teaching to the test. I've had the honor of teaching Special Needs students for the past 38 years. Preparing them for their future is both challenging and rewarding.

My school is great, but we still have much more to do to make it even better. I'm glad to be an employee of the school district. It's a terrific place with terrific students, parents, and staff-well, most of them (esp. me!).

The sense of community is very strong. You feel like you belong from the moment you walk in the school and are welcomed by the staff and children.

I have a daughter in the 7th grade and I must say that I am very impressed not only with LPS but the entire Andover Regional School System. The teachers are very attentive and you cannot beat the principal. LPS offers many after school activities for the children to be involved in and all of them are not necessarily sports related. I also feel that we have a very involved parent community as well and I feel that makes a huge difference not only in the school but with the children attending our schools. I would highly recommend this school.

My daughter started LPS in the middle of the fifth grade. She gained much self-confidence at this school. Their no-tolerance for bullying is also impressive. The principal is super! This kids love him and he is very involved in all the extracurricular activites of the school.
