Robert Fulton No. 2 has a wonderful staff. Teacher`s work is aligned to Common Core.
My school has a very professional teacher and administrator team. They collaborate with the spirit of team teaching, they set high expectation and show that they care for their students.
Robert Fulton is a great school. My son was a student there and now my nephews are now attending. The teachers are caring and dedicated but strict. They help the students excell in there studies. Many teachers stay after school to tutor those that need assistance. However, they do not tolerate when students misbehave. The teachers and priciple teach the students that rules need to be followed and the meaning of respect for themselves as well as others. The principle and staff are also very caring. This school pays much attention to cleanliness, which means students have to come with their uniforms clean and according to the school dress code, the hallways and bathrooms are always very clean. The principle makes sure that the students as well as her staff are punctual. They make sure the children follow the school protocols and to behave. I am very pleased on the education my son received. He is doing very well in high school because of it. I even attended Robert Fulton and I am so glad because the teachers and staff gave me the foundation I needed to excell in high school and college. However, would love it if their were more computers for the students and books
I THINK THAT ROBERT FULTON IS GREAT!!! MY SON STARTED IN THE FOURTH GRADE HE WAS IN MS. BEGBEY,S CLASS AND HE WAS HAVING A HARD TIME WITH HIS WORK . THE SCHOOLS PRINCIPAL AND STAFF ALONG WITH HIS TEACHER HELPED MY SON GAIN CONFIDENCE ANS NOW HE IS AN HONOR ROLL STUDENT. I THINK THEY DO A GREAT JOB.
I'm a former student who went to Robert Fulton and I had my son in that school and I think it's the worst the staff don't know what there doing and are very rude... Most of the teachers don't know how to handle students with special needs.... That school hasn't changed.... The after school program is so expensive and they don't really help the kids they actually play games when they should be doing there homework and getting help... My son wasn't happy in that school at all....and when he was getting bullied they never really address the problem.... North Bergen needs to change it and make big adjustments to improve it
Fulton School has a lot of problems: administrators who are clueless about running a school, teachers who are constantly absent, overcrowded classes (30+ students), lack of working computers....the list is long. A sense of chaos, bad attitude, and lack of rules and discipline pervades the atmosphere in this school. There is a handful of good teachers, but for the majority of teachers and workers, they do not care for their work and they are not inspired to do a good job.
I'm a student in Robert Fulton. Everything to do after school costs hundreds of dollars like Club Ed. The PTA begs for money WAY too much. The gym teacher screamed at my class when we didn't participate in Jump for Heart. I'm a proud anime/manga/comic artist and I'm not impressed by the baby projects we do in art. It's scary to get your report card; you never know whether your next homeroom/classroom teacher is nice... The students are too many and too mean. You'll be really lucky to find a good/true friend.... Overall, this school is ugly, boring, and AWFUL...
I would have to agree with the prior poster, indeed pathetic. although staff are caring and kind they just do not do a good job at educating the kids and the fact there are no accelerated learning classes within the school has been the start of a very bad curve for my child who was a former student. North Bergen district is in dire need of reform on many many levels
I think this is an excellent school. My daughter is learning shes always being challenged. Theres is great parent involvement a strong PTA, My daughter was student of the month which meant a lot to her.Shes in 5th grade and loving school more each day. The only downfall is the security. They need to do a better job.
My son is attending 1st grade in Robert Fulton. I am very satisfied with the program, his teacher Ms. Trottere is excellent. I can see his improvement. He was the student of the month of December on his classroom.
This is one of the best schools I have come across. Their is a drastic improvement in my daughter's studies. Teachers have been really caring. She is getting honors continously.
If I were to explain this shool in one word it would be 'bleak'. There is nothing extra for these children, nothing fun or exciting. The Art program is pathetic. The teachers are average, the facilities are horrible. There is no internet access to teachers and no teacher websites. The schools expect the students to be current but the school is antiquated and certainly not current. There is still no updated school calendar. Board meetings seem to be kept confidential. The North Bergen schools came in at the bottom of New Jersey's list of three hundres schools I am not suprised. Over all, pathetic
Agree this school is quite antiquated yet expects its students to be up to date. The teachers are not required to have websites. There is no PTA and no activities for the students. I am appalled!
New dress code, new afterschool program and upgrade of the facilities happened in the last year. Also new vice-principal. Things are improving at Robert Fulton. I wish the teachers were more communicative. Enrichment programs would help but the demographic of the neighborhood doesn't help. Problem is most parents don't get involved as many are new to the country and the school makes no effort to involve any parents. I remain hopeful and am advocating for more arts, as I am an artist, yet I see an obvious lack of inspiration. Don't know if my little guy will be attending next year. Tough one.
I went to this school and so do my kids, I love the warm friendly environment and the excellent teachers!
This school has little to no after school programs or special classes, the kids are not separated according to learning ability, with only a small number of kids getting into the Gifted and Talented program which is takes part in another school and is twice weekly. The building itself is old and dilapidated. Certain grades are allowed outdoors for lunch. The Principal seems caring but is not a get the job done type of leader. Although some teachers are caring, others are rude to parents, taking an I rule the classroom attitude.
I live in North Bergen and i am currently attending North Bergen High School. I atteneded Robert Fulton for every grade level from kindergarten to eighth grade. This school offers you more than an education, it prepares you for life beyond those years you spend there. The faculty is amazing and they offer you attention, compassion, and an education that will help you throughout your life. If you are not a student you just simply would not understand. I am sorry that all these parents think so negatively about it. They want the best, go pay for it. Here they do give you attention. The principal is one of the best ive come across and as for extra activities, they have sports. It is up to your child whether or not they want to participate in them or not. Do not blame the school.
EXCELLENT School ! I have had children in this school for 7 years now, my eldest graduated last year and was accepted to an outstanding H.S. with VERY high standards & is doing well. The teaching staff is Great & getting even better every year due to good management- a Principal who really cares about providing the absolute best for all the children. There is plenty of dicipline as the principal gets personally involved with every issue that comes up. Easy access to communicate with teachers and administration. Usually the parents that complain the most are the ones that do not get actively involved in their children's education. For the parents that want to take an active roll in their child's education- teachers and staff always welcome your comments and work with you to make sure that your child is working to his/her potential.
I think parents should become more involved in their children's education. I am very involved with my son's schooling. I speak with his teacher often-and I never have a problem contacting her. My son has had some wonderful, caring teachers these past four years, I can not speak for all the teachers-but most are very good teachers As far as the Principal and Vice Principal are concerned- I think they do a very good job with the children. The only problem with this school is there are no extra curricular activities
