My daughter, now 11 loves the years she spent with the teachers in this school. She has been at John Adams for 5 years, loved every day of it. I owe a big thank you to the teachers and staff of John Adams.
This is John Adams first year with an all day kindergarten classes and I understand there may be some adjustments by the staff, however our children are not being given homework until mid October. I find this unacceptable and question the learning methods of this school.
My child loves going to school everyday and I owe that to the wonderful staff of John Adams. They are the only elementary school that consistently pass the standardized test!
I really like John Adams, my daughter loves going there. All she talks about is how much she likes her teachers. I'm really glad to know that she is being taught well in John Adams.
Extremely poor handling of students with learning disabilities. Nothing gets done for them unless the parent does it. Its like pulling teeth to get anything out of them. The special ed teachers are good, but unfortunately children spend very limited time with them, so there is only so much they can do for them. Their Summer program for special ed students really is awful. Have seen problems with them in this area for multiple generations now.
Exelent in dicipline. Good coordination among students, teachers and parents making students more responsible to do their homework properly. Language and Math teaching skills are exelent. Little behind in internet or computer skills but no complaints. Rizwan.
Poor handling of inter-student conflict. Children who repeatedly cause problems are not monitored to protect the children who don't. Conflict is met with psycho-babble rather than common sense.
