The best of the best! I have twin girls at the school. Their teacher is the best and really concerned not only about their learning but about them as children. She calls me at home and keeps me aware of what is going on in school. The gym teacher teaches swimming and my kids love her. The principal is the greatest. She is caring, involved and always ready to listen. She does lots of things for the kids like a reading nigt, spring fest, bingo nights, parent field trips at night and more. Every year the teaching staff gets cut though and this is hard on the school.

I could no longer afford Catholic school and had to send my 3 children to Alexander Hamilton. I was very nervous and scared, I heard only horror stories about Paterson schools. I cannot tell you how lucky I have been to get into Alexander Hamilton. This is our third year hear and it gets better every year. The principal is the best. She is always willing to talk to me and help me with the problems I may have with my kids. Ms. Rudd the library teacher is great too. The school is almost like a private school, the kids wear uniforms and there is rules. Some parents maynot like that their kids are required to follow the rules but that is what I was looking for. The principal is always around theschool and in the classrooms with the teachers. THe teachers do a good job. THey work hard.

I have 2 children at Alexander Hamilton Academy and I am very pleased by what the school has to offer. There is no playground which can be hard with not outlet for he kids, and parking can be a problem, but school is about learning. The teachers are great and the principal Mrs. Galizia is fantastic. She is such a blessing to the school always willing to help parents and encouraging students to do their best. They really make the kids work hard but it all pays off in the end. Mrs. Galizia has made the school even better than it was by truly caring about our children. Parents need to work on teaching thier children what respect means though. It is a great place to be and I would not want to be anywhere else.

I really have to say that AHA is a really great school. I was a little nerous placing my daughter into a public school. AHA is very fouse in the class room education and making sure each child get's the best education possible. One thing that I do like is that every month I get a progress report which allows me to know how my child did in a particular quiz or test. I see that alot of parents wrote about the parking and gym. A parking space has nothing to do with a child's education, the school has a drop off zone and if the parents follows the school rules about not parking in that area there it would be a safe drop off zone. As far as the gym goes, the kids gets transported to the Boys & Girls club where they're able to take swimming lesson and more.

Excellent school program, too bad the school does not have a more adequate gym or parking space. The school principal and teaching stuff is very well into the education of the students. I feel my kids are getting a better education there than when they were in other schools.

I recommend this school to any parent who desires a conducive environment for their children in a public school setting. My first child attended this school at the inception when the school was a charter and graduated this year. My other child will return for her fifth year and she is doing well. I truly believe the small class sizes (15-22 students/class)allows the children to excel to their maximum potential. Mr. Rixford (former principal) helped bring the resources our school needed after we transitioned under the district. I trust that our current principal Ms. Galazia will prove to be another gem as our former principal. Her first year as acting principal went great and I anticipate greater things to come as she starts 06-07 school year as our officially appointed principal. I am satisfied with the teachers experience and parents in school involvement. Stop by AHA (BH in 2/07)& see.

Alexander Hamilton Academy is truly a great school. It has raised me from a little girl to the young woman that I am today.I was a member of the second graduating class and that school has done a wonderful job on all of us. Just look at our test scores. I truly recommend this school to all parents out there.
