It is a wonderful environment for children to learn and because responsible adults. The teachers go above and beyond to help there students and could really use the extra help.

I went to Carson in the Gifted Program for 4 years. If you don't know what the Gifted Program is, it pretty much is just that we learn the grade above us' work. Like in 1st grade, 2nd grade was learning multiplication and division, but 1st grade was not, however the gifted program of 1st grade was. Going to this school was a wonderful experience and the only complaint we ever had was the lunches and the somewhat mean 'assistants'. The teachers were great, but mine was, in my opinion, the best ever. If you're looking for a school to put your child into and an area to move into, move into Pennsauken and send your child to Carson.

My daughter has gone to Carson since kindergarten she is now in second grade. I think her experience at Carson has been great. Academically she reads at 4th grade level and she's only in second grade. So she has learned a lot and it has been a positive atmosphere.

My son goes to Carson...he is special needs. He will be in 2nd grade in september. I have had no problems with Carson...my son enjoys going to school and loves his special needs teachers. They have helped him very much in the years that he has gone there and would recommend Carson to family and friends.

It seems the extra curricular activities don't start until 3rd grade.Too bad if your child is in the second grade. The hot lunch program,it seems, is starch-laden. You would be hard pressed to find vegetables. There are gaps, it seems, in security when substitutes let children out of class at the end of the school day. The school does not seem to have a monitoring system in place to periodically check that the teachers are utilizing effective, and progressive behavior management tools and creative reward systems. The principal is receptive to parental involvement and responsive to parental concerns. The children, it seems, bear the brunt of the school district's money woes (ie: only one school trip, not enough supplies and negligible teacher resources and equipment).
