Our son has attended this school for the last 7 years. The school staff and the school environment have been such a blessing to him. He has matured into a responsible, kind, Godly young man, He was accepted to his first choice school for college and has done so well academically at TCS, we are confident he will be very successful at college. We would highly recommend this school - especially if you are looking for solid academics in a Godly environment.

If your prospective student is doing well academically, I recommend the school. Solid Christian teaching. If you have an academic "struggler," don't expect the school to do much at all. They drop the ball.

School is great as far as academics go, but a bullying policy is practically non existent. I pulled my child out of the school over this and have known of others to do the same. For a Christian school, these kids are not very Christian like. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

I attended TCS from K-12 and truly believe that I received the best education possible. I felt extremely prepared for college and find myself using lessons I learned at TCS in my everday life for work now. The teachers were extremely knowledgeable and vested in my success and growth not just educationally, but emotionally and spiritually as well! I am so thankful that I was able to attend TCS and receive such a strong foundation for the rest of my life.

This is a great school that is still in evolution. The school staff is constantly trying to find ways to improve academics in the school. This hopefully will help prepare these kids for entry into excellent colleges. The atmosphere is warm and everybody is treated like family. More enrichment progrmans would be nice but funding will be an issue since this school i believe does not get anything from the township. T he school tries to be good stewart of their resources which helps parents a lot. I would definitely recommend this school to any parent .

As a current student I do not like the school. The parents and kids are accepting ONLY if you attend the CRC church nearby. It offers littl college prep in it's highschool as they expect to go into trinity hope or Calvin college. The middle and elementry school offer little challenge and when you or if you transferr intothe public school system or. Any other schools you will be vey behnd. I do not recommend this to anyone looking for their child to have a fun time at school and hoping for uem to go to a decent college.

My son has attended TCS for 6 years now. He loves it as I do, it s been a wonderful experience. We don t have anything but praise for the staff, students and parents. I would like to see the elementary school children challenged more, I think they can handle it. Aside from that, I would like my son to remain at TCS throughout H.S.

My daughter is in 4th grad this year 08-09 & she has been @ TCS since Kindergarden. I dropped her off the first day & said this is where you will be until you graduate high school! The teachers are wonderful & the academics couldn't be better. TCS students are far above average compared to NJ public schools & that is a fact. The graduating seniors 95% go on to 4yr schools & the other 5% a 2 year. Compare that to any NJ public school. My daughter is in the Enrichment program this year which is good health competion for her & I couldn't be more proud to me a parent of aTCS school

I used to go there...until the cost became too much. I go to public school now...and I really miss the close spiritual environment we had there. Good school.

TCS is not perfect, but it is a wonderful school. I have had my 2 children there since kindergarden. My oldest will be entering 11th, and my younger one 8th. I have also taught there for a few years as well as volunteer there for even more years. I would recommend this school as a strong adademic as well as spiritual environment. Highlights include: AP classes, student volunteer opportunities, small Bible studies, the annual fair and field day, and the many things others have mentioned here. God bless!

I have four children @ TCS. All started with kindergarten, one is now a sophmore and the others are in middle school. I have been extremely pleased with the school from day one. My children are getting a great education from teachers who truly care about the kids. Their sports program has been improving every year. The school is small enough that the parents can get to know almost all of the families there, yet small enough to give individualized attention to each student. It's a relief also to know that your children's friends families have the same values as yours.

I am extremely satisfied with TCS. I have children in the elementary school. Since becoming a part of the school, I have found it to offer above average academics and great development of character. Overall, the staff is caring and warm. There is a new elementary school principal who seems to be focused on developing the academic program. I highly recommend TCS.

You cannot do better than Timothy Christian School when it comes to Christain values and beliefs. The teachers are wonderful. I question those with negative comments about student behavior. The students are well behaved. They are graded on their behavior as well as demerits and suspension. Sadly, there are times when a student is asked to leave. Timothy is very strict on behavior ... so I am puzzled at the negative comments about student behavior - during class, at lunch, recess or after school - bad behvaior is not tolerated. The academic environment is good ... however I would like science improved. The subject of science needs some beefing up and plans are in the works to improve it. T.C.S. will call parents to remind them of meetings. If parents don't come it's not because T.C.S. doesn't encourage them.

I have had 2 children attend the school, 1 graduating and 1 is a junior, both starting in K. I recommend this school to anyone interested in a quality Christian education for their kids. Wonderful dedicated teachers, great atmosphere for learning. Staff and administrators are first rate. You won't find better in New Jersey.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
