We moved to this beautiful area 2 years ago. We are very impressed with Memorial Middle school. The guidance department did a wonderful job in helping our son transition from a very small (17 in his class) previous school to a larger environment. The teachers are interested and very impressive. We left what we thought were wonderful schools and found better! We are extremely pleased with Memorial Middle school and the entire Point Pleasant School District.

my child does to school here and she loves all her teachers and she just loves there. the only thing she doesn't like is how she has to get up so early in the morning!

the everyday math program here is a complete waste of time. when you have a separate class just to prepare for the state tests, what does that tell you. it has hit a point that the parents can't even help the kids with homework. don't judge a book by it's cover.

I was a former student here, and although I don't always agree with methods , I find that at the heart of it all, the concern is for the kids. Making a safe and productive learning environment! 90% of the teachers are totally commited to the kids and will work hard to rectify any problems or questions my wife or I might have. Altogether a top notch school with caring individuals always on top of things. I don't think that those test scores do these people justice. I have seen 'special needs kids' all mainstreamed with a teacher,or aide by their side all day everyday, to help that student so as not to detract from the other students time, but in reality, these aides in a lot of cases as needs permit, have time to help the main teachers out, giving essentially 2 teachers working the same class so all kids benefit! They have in school DARE officers at all the schools as long as kids are there, so children have access to them for counciling or help! Times have changed in this district from my day and I would say all for the better. All this in a district where the retired population and summer residents will vote any tax raise for any reason down, so buget is difficult for them to do all this with! Great School! Great Teachers! Great staff in every area!
