My two children attended Nellie Bennett and now I am privileged to work there as a teacher, so I have experienced this school from both sides of the coin. Both of my children had fabulous experiences. Nellie is a medium-size school with a small-school feel and a very caring teaching staff and administration. Students are encouraged to excel academically, but there's also great attention paid to making the school year fun. A strong PTO membership and high turnout on Back to School Nights demonstrate that this community cares about its students. Go Nellie Bennett!!

I have had 2 children go through Nellie Bennett and they loved it! The teachers have been great and my kids have done so well and had fun. I can say that since the new principal has taken over, safety and security seem more important. Years ago, parents (and who knows who else) could wander the halls whenever they wanted and I'm glad the school is more secure than that now. Parent involvement is strong and beneficial for the students. The school has a great small-town feel where everyone knows your children. Overall, a great school!

Nellie Bennett is the " whole package." The Principal along with the Vice-Principal make for an excellent team, which in turn show the children the necessity of team work. The office staff is ALWAYS considerate and speak accordingly to the children which shows them they are important. The Parents are quite involved which makes for a Community feel. They are familiar to and with your children and that is important. Teachers we have experienced so far have been outstanding.

The Leadership at this school has declined since the new principal has taken over. Teachers are wonderful and the kids love to go to this school.

This by far is one of the best schools around. We moved here from brick 3 years ago and my son just loves it. They offer after school clubs which most schoolds do not offer and they even provide transportaion after, which helps give the kids something educational and fun to do after school. I am very pleased with the teaching staff also.

We have a daughter with special needs who has been going to Nellie Bennett for several years. Thier special ed program is severely lacking. We pay high taxes in Point Pleasant, but we get nothing out of it for our daughter. She is doing pretty well, but only because we have paid for outside services for her. If you have a special needs student, don't even think about Point Pleasant. We are moving out because of the poor special ed program in Point Pleasant.
