My Son has ADHD and he has been going good for two years in this school due to an excellent teacher. Recently they have changed this main teacher and now it is all downhill. He has been suspended for more than 10 days. Our suggestions to restore the teacher met with deaf ears. Now they force our son to take dangerous medicines - otherwise he is not welcome. I strongly doubt if they know well what to do with kids with behavioral problems.

After many years of feeling frustrated and misunderstood at other schools, my son found happiness at Windsor Learning Center. It is a place where learning became a reality and he gained confidence in himself. He now looks forward to school each day and does not give me a hard time about waking up in the morning. He has made many friends since starting at Windsor. We were so impressed with how the teachers and counselors addressed his needs that he is now attending Windsor s high school, where I feel certain that he will succeed.

Teachers don't know how to deal with autistic students or identify the symptoms in any, are emotionally abusive to students and often misuse their authority. They could start by actually hiring people who know how to work with mentally disabled students and take the time to listen to them instead of promptly mocking them and punishing them by keeping them inside a dark room all day long.

My son is current attending at Windsor. I found it to be an excellent school. My son is quite motivated and look forward to be in school the next day. His reading skill has improved and he is now a happy kid.

Windsor school is an excellent school for any child who has an IEP and for some reason can not behave properly and learn in public school. The attention and positive reinforcement that the teaching staff gives to each student is unmatched by any other school. The staff here really believes that these are good children. If you visit this school what you will see is 111 good children with excellent teachers and helpers.

My son attends the new branch for grades 7-9 in West Milford and is quite motivated and happy. Parental involvement is key- I stay on top of most things and the results are very good. Academically, the school is not as high a performer as I'd like, but they are responsive to ideas and confirm with my district's standards.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
