I would rate the principal in Mansfield Twp School as unprofessional and just horrible. I have my last child attending Mansfield School. My son is in Warren Hills High School now but when he was younger, he attended Mansfield Twp. School. We never had a problem back then. I am not one to complain about things. When I complain, it has to be bad. When my daughter started school this year, she would come home crying several times and began to hate school. I saw a big change in her behavior. I called the principal to discuss this with him and asked if she could please be switched to another class. He said everything he could to go against my request. I don't think I was asking for much and it is my daughter and I know her more than anyone. After speaking to several other parents, I was informed that the teacher had a bad reputation and was very loud. My daughter can't take loud noise--even going to the movies-it is too loud. This teacher said herself that she is loud. My daughter continued being miserable and so did I. I wrote a letter to the teacher and cc the principal. Can you believe I never got a response?? I waited and emailed the princ, he never to date respond
I believe that the newsuperintendent of this school is awesome and will raise test scores in due time. He as already implemented an excellent Reading curriculum which is already showing promising results. Now, If they could only begin with the Math and S.S. subjects. I agree that there are positives and negatives with the teachers, but you'll find that with any school. For the most part, the teachers are polite, professional, and willing to work with parents. Some of the things I wish they would change, beside most of the core subject curriculium, are: 1)Staying inside for all of the winter months. I mean come on! there is no reason why the kids cannot go outside with snow pants and boots. Every other school is the US does. 2) They're teaching sign lang. (which is good) but wish it was a foreign lang. wich they could use throughout their life.More...
I don't know who rated this school but they must have done it with their eyes shut. Administration and school services are both difficult and lacking. A constant negative attuide from the administration when we were dealing with our childs school needs. Every attempt was made to evade or deny our requests for evaluation and a solution to the problem. After three years of determination we were atlast given the help our child needed. She is back on track and learning to love school again. Teachers are both wonderful and awful. ( we have a fair share of both!!!!!) excellent activities and as parents we are always involved. Safety is very good all around.
An outstanding school. They address every level of learning ability and have an outstanding gifted and talented program. The staff is very accessable and caring.
