The school administration staffs are not friendly, and teachers only care on their own teaching performance, rather than learning of each child in their class. They do not like parent involvement, and there is no set-route for communication with teachers and/or principals. When you ask question on school adminitration, they are always very defensive. Unless your child is super bright and submissive, you will have lots of problesm in communicating with the school.

Teachers motivate the kids to bring out their potentials. Excellent music and language teachers. This school comes up with many creative activities throughout the school year in various areas of interests.

If your child is lucky to have a great teacher in the class, then he/she would be benefit a lot in this school. Most of the teachers in this school only like the child who is a "Smart Robot". If you child is smart but energetic or creative, you must be prepared to challenge the teachers.

The school seems to be going through a tough time with principle leaving again this year. The class teacher my child had did her job just enough. In about a year we got to speak with her twice. There was not much challenge to extend the academic skills introduced . Where as the Gym and the music teachers did a fantastic job. They motivated the kids and they learned so much. The computer program is also very enriched and encouraging.

Like any other school, your child's year is determined by the teacher s/he gets. If it's not a good match, it's a lost year for the child. The district curriculum is lacking - I don't see any evidence to support the 'excellent' reputation this district has. Teachers definitely do not have 'cutting edge' techniques or even good old tried and true ones to inspire greatness in every child. They do, however, have plenty of excuses as to why they are not able to best meet your child's particular needs! The excellent test scores are a tribute to the diligence of the parents who spend countless hours teaching their own children so that they do not fall behind the others. You would not believe the amount of kids who have tutors in this district! All that said, my kid does enjoy school, he's just bored...

Quality of academic programs - teachers are excellent and lots of focus on students. Music, art, sports - Music teacher Gail Courage conduct an excellent music program. 2 chorus concerts by 3rd grader in one year (1 hour each performance). Foster team spirit and children's creative side Parent involvement - parents are generally very involved. Back to school nights very well attended by all parents.

School is wonderful if your child is bright and robot like. What I mean by this is: This school works well with children who are bright enough to listen to the teacher once and then do the work by them self. The school likes to cater to children who are seen but not heard. If your child has any differences such as needing help or being extremely gifted you may find lots of red tape to go through. School is very quick to 'label' a child if they are outside of what they feel is the norm. So again, if your child has an inner fire for hands on learning and is bright and creative watch out! Because this school can throw water on that fire pretty fast.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
