i love this school!!!! its great and makes every student feel special. There sports and arts are perfect. Excellent school and teachers
Teachers are inconsiderate of students' ambitions In addition, teachers for accelerated courses lack the abilities to teach well as they tend to perceive the lessons as contests against the other house despite the students' confusion.
John Witherspoon is a great school that values education as their first priority. The curriculum is changed to help kids, with special classes such as Study Skills, English and Math Plus, and Accelerated Math to help kids at certain levels. The staff, which includes a guidance counselor for each grade, aims to help kids with any issues they may have, whether with school or home. Most teachers even provide extra help in mornings and after school if students are having trouble with their homework.
Excellent school, I feel like my child is learning a lot, and having fun, too.
I feel this school is interested in getting to know how a student learns and at what rate they are more comfortable. Going to John Witherspoon Middle School has helped me be the student I feel I can and should be.
This school has great teachers. But i think they could work on their soccer team. There alright but i think they could practice some more to get better. Lawrence middle school's b team beat them 4-0! they need more practice.
I went there and after I moved to Miami to finish middle school, I found that everything they were teaching, I had already learned. To me, JWS gives you the neccessary tools you need to make it in this world. It provided me with a strong foundation.
The academic programs in John Witherspoon Middle School are excellent, having programs such as Peer to Peer for eigth grade, and Crossings for seventh graders. The activities you can do in school, as a part of your schedule are Modern Living, Tech Prep, Computers, Humanities, Drama, Choir, Band(2 different group, we have jazz band, symphonic, and the other group has Witherspoon Band), Gym, Health, and Art. We go on many field trips here, and you meet new people, and the school year is a blast going soo fast Parents can be involved in many things such as PTO, setting up programs, and going on all the field trips and helping out the class
