We love Princeton Academy! All three of our sons have attended the school and it is truly like a second home for us. It is a very welcoming community. Most importantly, the faculty and staff are committed to educating the individual needs of each boy. Princeton Academy truly lives the mission of a Sacred Heart School.

I have two boys at Princeton Academy. One is in the Middle School and the other is in the Lower School. We have been happy with the faculty, staff, and administrators at this school for years. Both of my boys are happy and excited to go to school to learn and hang out with their friends. There is such a rich sense of community and a deep understanding of what boys need to feel comfortable and do their best. As an all boys school, there is less posturing and stereotyping. Each boy is treated as a unique individual. Some boys love sports, some love art, some love to read. The boys are encouraged to try everything and to learn from their mistakes. My husband and I feel that Princeton Academy is a warm, safe, welcome environment in which boys and young men can develop their intellects, characters, and passions. We are very happy with the school's emphasis on empathy, kindness, and generosity. Our boys are happy, so we're happy.

As a parent of two boys who have spent a combined 6 years at Princeton Academy, I am constantly reminded of what an exceptional school it is. (When I picked my younger son up after the first day of the new school year, he said his day was phenomenal and thanked me for sending him to school there.) My sons are very different and yet the School is a great place for both of them. Princeton Academy teachers are bright, creative, caring, and dedicated to teaching boys. They also care deeply about the boys' academic, social, and moral development. This last piece was very important for my husband and me as we were looking at schooling options we wanted to send our sons to a school that would do more than pay lip-service to the values that we work to impart at home. Overall, it is a wonderful school and I am grateful for the excellent foundation that it is giving my boys.

Princeton Academy is an amazing place and unique in the Princeton area. My son has been there since kindergarten and is graduating this year. It has helped to shape him, kindle his interests and give him real outlets for his passions whether academic or athletic.

It may work well for some, but we weren't too happy and left. Kids are pushy.

I sent my son to Princeton Academy, after I pulled him out of Ranney School. In Ranney I found it to be a steam roller if your child was brillant he would suceed if not your out of luck, my son excelled at Princeton Academy he is learning so much and is a diffrent boy today, he loves to learn thanks to the small class sizes and his grades have shot up . I only pray they build a high school in time for my son. I can not say enough how great our experiance with this school has been. And here the kicker I live 45 minutes from the school, but to me its worth the drive.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
