How sad to find out this school has been sold. While it was a few years ago, my kids loved it there. Ms. Angela in gym, Lisa always so down to earth and Ms. Vicky always hatching something or making a mess of my kids ---in a good way. Miriam, she made my kids feel welcome everyday....even when I was late a disrupting the class. I wish you all the best of luck. You were wonderful teachers and my kids and I will not soon forget you.
I have had my children in this school for 5 years. They absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! When come to pick them up, they never want to leave and beg me to let them stay longer. My son never wants to leave and said that if he dies and is reborn, he wants to go to the Young School again. There really is no price for the peace of mind you have when leaving a young child at school. If a child is crying and has separation anxiety, the teachers are very warm caring and comforting to them. It does feel like a family, the teachers are fantastic! My kids come home knowing all kinds of cool things I wouldn't have expected for their age. They have a beautiful space, and great field trips. Ms. Diane has been extremely generous and supportive through our tough times. Thank you so much!
My daughter has been at this school since she was 2. She is now in kindergarten. We are sad to leave The Young School but we must move. Our has been nothing but positive. I wish ms Diane and the entire staff many sucessful years!
Excellent education, great environment, loving & caring teachers, great students. All schools should be like The Young School. My children love it. They thank me and my husband everyday for putting them at TYS&E....Price on education doesn't matter when you know your kids like going to school and are in good hands!!!!
Your children always come first and if you could buy them the world you know you would. TYS&E is the best school I could of ever have put my children in. Worth all the money in the world to hear my children say 'thanks mom I love TYS&E, I love waking up' My kids even beg me to put them in TYS&E summer camp programs because they love the school, Ms. Diane(director) and teachers. Thanks TYS&E for all you do for my children. I can't recommend it enough!!!!!!
Under staff and not worth a penny!! stay away from the director (Ms. Diane)
the school provides my child with all that is expected of a quality school
I personally rate a school by how well my child likes it. By this standard, I give it 5 stars, because my daughter LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it here. She just entered kindergarten, and gave me a raving report when she got home. She looks forward to school each and every day, as was the case when she was in the nursery/preK program the previous school year. I feel that the teachers are great, the school has an exceptionally low teacher turnover (most of the teachers have been around for a long time). The only complaint that I would have about the school is that the parents are a bit standoffish and clique-ish. In my experience, it's been hard to get to know any parents, because they just aren't very friendly. Even my husband had the same experience when he went to the Daddy Get Together they have every year.
I give this school zero statrs. It is a sham and the tutition is too high and the teachers & directors standards for/of education are too low. My child learned nothing at this school and I learned that knowledge & research are far better tools when selecting a school than, the promises any school director might make or any flyers, mission statements they may give you. Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures that this director will paint for you, reasearch this school & find out the truth about the level of education your child deserves (& willnot get here) before you hand over any money. The tutition at this school is demanded in full before the 1st semester is over & is non-refundable keep this in mind before you agree to enroll
It is most definitely not worth the tuition. The communication with individual parents about their child which they are entitled to is outmost horrible and greatly lacking. It is obvious by observation and as well staff feels the same the owner /director of school is all about money. Their hours are really not convenient for working parents. Most of the information they have on their website is misinformation. The director has no respect for thye parents and the parents rights and opinions. I truely would not recommend this school at all.
