Ringwood Christian School is an excellent school where Jesus Christ is at the center of everything they do from the classroom to the athletic field to their out-of-school activities. The teachers are great and Dr. Furrey, the administrator, is amazing in how she cares for the students and the school.

Ringwood Christian School is a hidden gem. The faculty is amazing in creating a challenging and loving environment. We had our daughter at RCS for Kindergarten and then went to public school for 3 years. We are back because the values we stand for were missing in the public arena. She has never been happier and is gaining so much more than extraordinary education; she is learning in a Christ centered school that supports our beliefs. RCS has been providing education for 40 years, and we are proud to be a part of the present and future of this school.

The Administrator and faculty invest so much of themselves to give each child a Christ-Centered Education with love, encouragement and guidance. This school builds a lasting relationship with the kids and their parents. So many former students keep in touch, love to come back for a visit, attend school concerts and other activities during the year too. This school does become part of the family to all that are involved with it.

Ringwood Christian is not as much a school as it is an extension of our family and church. Our daughter will be graduating this year and we are going to miss being part of the RCS family. Her years at RCS have served to solidify the foundation of her Christian walk and we are eternally grateful to the teachers and staff for pouring themselves into teaching, rebuking and discipling our daughter. Thank you RCS!

The staff at Ringwood Christian are caring, devoted and loving. The school offers a private, Christian education with a strong athletic program for 5th to 8th graders in soccer, basketball and track and field.

Ringwood Christian School is a great school for children. I have twin girls who started in 1st grade. They had to repeat this grade coming from the public school system & they learned so much more in the 1st grade this school (compared to public school). The teachers are wonderful. There is only one class per grade so it is a small school which makes it nice. The kids feel special. Throughout the year they learn many interesting things which keeps them excited with learning. If you want an excellent well-rounded academic curriculum for your children which is Christ centered, look no further. There is also a lot of opportunity for parents & grandparents to get involved. I highly recommend RCS.

The school is average compared to most New Jersey Schools. To receive a better education, most people believe you have to move out of state. But compared to Jersey City and Newark and Irvington, this school is ok.

RCS is a wonderful school. The staff makes it a priority to meet the needs of each individual child. Biblical principles are integrated into their curriculum in order to address the child's spiritual growth as well as cognitive development. The principal and all the teachers know each and every student. The school has the feel of a warm, large extended family, rather than a cold and impersonal institution. They go well beyond the call of duty at RCS! We are very happy about our decision to enroll our daughter in this school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
