My son attended this school for four years, during which nothing ever changed. I had problems with him getting harassed by other children, getting hit, items stolen from him, and failure for the teacher (and bus driver) to do a thing. He would get punished for failure to speak out against his classmates that were causing problems. I would call the teacher and explains things only to have the same incidents occur repeatedly. I had an excellent elementary school experience, it's horrible that my son wasn't able to have the same. I opted to home school him rather than send him onto the middle school where the problems are significantly worse. Any other children I may have will be home schooled. I won't put another child through the same experience. I only wish I home schooled him from the start.
I love this school. My daughter goes to kindergarten in this school. Teachers are awesome she had learnt a lot in a month.
Good teachers, good curriculum. I am happy with the school.
Although I am happy with my child's teacher & the effort she puts forth, I am unhappy with the school's lack of discipline. My child has dealt with bullying for 2 years in a row now - in the lunchroom and on the bus - but the school lacks accountability for keeping my child safe & happy. They do not act interested in hearing concerns or especially complaints! It seems to be accepted that there are kids who do not keep their hands to themselves... Which is unacceptable to me, since 'bullying' is supposed to be something that is not tolerated in our schools. If I had the financial means, my child would be enrolled in a Catholic school ASAP.
My son attended Roebling school from Kdg through 3rd grade. I was very pleased every year with the quality of his teachers and the curriculum including art, music, computer class, field trips, etc. Whenever I had a question or concern regarding anything, the teacher response was excellent. Most importantly, my son loves school and that's what it's all about! Teachers & staff there are doing a great job in my opinion.
