I am also a parent that is disgusted with Grace Wilday JHS. For one, my child comes home daily with little or no homework. Secondly, my child has teachers that discourages the progress and vision of becoming a leader. As far as the secretary, I am so turned off by her unprofessionalism and her lack of respect for the parents of children in the school. She is rude and honestly, needs to be replaced. When it comes to the Principal, he has great Ideas and encourages the students, however, he really does not welcome the ideas and participation of the parents. The school does not have constant parent meetings and is lead by the same president of the PTO for the past 3 years, even when she has no place in the school because she has no children in the school. She needs to go too. In order for the school to be a better school, all the tenior teachers need to reassigned or let go because the laziness and clickiness has to be broken up. That's all I have to say!!!
the school has come a long way the teachers are great and available to help students before and after school, they also make themselves available to speak with parents without delay, as well the really go the extra mile to make sure your child has a successful school year at first I was hesitant about sending my son to this school, but I truly have no regrets the principal has really turned this school around, he makes his self available to address any concerns parents may have, I would say the only negative would be the lack of parents involvement
Grace Wilday should be closed down! LAZY! WORTHLESS! TEACHERS! The staff does not have a vested interest in the students education. Secretaries are GHETTO! counselors are only there to eat the free food! This school is a DISGRACE to education in NJ. Kids in third world countries receive a better education! You don't believe me...check out the school test results! Reading is not a priority! The staff's only concern is attendance! Not improving the education, but more students
even though it was bad times ....this school made me a better person an it really was the best of times here ....
The Principal makes a great effort to improve the scores and quality of life at this school but the main problem here is the parenting. Many of the children do what they want and the parents have little or no involvement in what their child learns and does.
Principal is very consciencious, but appears unable to get anything accomplished. Along with Guidance Counselor, promises are made about adherence with agereed upon 504 programs, but nothing seems to actually be carried out. Lousy academic environment.
Parents do not get involved here. Students suffer from lack of parental involvement. Teachers & administrators do not feel the need to go above & beyond given parental apathy.
