The school community is a small, yet diverse population of students PreK through 8th grades. The staff are a group of both veteran and young teachers who implement creative ideas with enthusiasm into their lessons. The administrators are extremely supportive and work hard to provide a great environment both both students and staff alike. The support staff is always friendly and willing to help in many ways. It is a pleasure to work in such a terrific school environment!

Deerfield is an extraordinary school. As a student I never had a problem with teachers or administrators. I never got in trouble and acheived academic greatness. I tested well and am now a student at CRHS where I take all honors and AP courses. I have the staff at Deerfield and myself as well as my family to thank for that.

I definitely agree with the parent who rated this school a 1 out of 5. Continuously I have to address the teacher issues my son is having. Let's just say teachers and staff stick together. Lunch is another issue as well as teacher way of communicating with the children. This particular teacher yells at my son and provokes my son to a point of which he has no choices but to defend himself then gets disciplined. No teacher consequences.

DTS is a great little school. It is demanding and academically competitive. The secretaries know all the kids too. I moved my son from a prestigious private school to DTS and have not regretted it. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars

Some of Deerfield's teachers are very inconsistent in their discipline and planning. The staff doesn't seem adequately trained in treating everyone with fairness when it comes to their education. The school day is the shortest in the area with a lot of days off for the teaching staff. The discipline problems are not consistent or fair. When my child has problems I voice them and the head principal always refers me to the vice principal never having time to deal with my parental concerns. The test scores are very very low and this doesn't seem to concern anyone. My child only gets music for half a year.

Deerfield is a great school with small class sizes appx 15-16 per class and 32 per grade. The teachers are great and there are very few discipline problems..My husband and I both commute almost an hour to work each way because we are so happy with the school system and the education our children are recieving at Deerfield.
