I am a current 8th grader and I love every aspect of Far Brook. The best part is that everyone there wants to do the best they possibly can which creating a very possitive enviorment. The school's great acedemics show when the 8th graders get their ssat/isee scores. The ssat's are normally high 70s 80s and 90s(I overall ranked in the 91 percentile)as with it isee's(I got 87%). The boys play Soccer and Baseball, the girls play Field Hockey and Lacrosse. Everyone is on the team and gets playing time. We have a very strong arts program and we start the day with "Morning Meeting" where all the students sit on the floor and listen to a presentation, we finish it singing. The older students are heavily involved with the younger students who view the upper schoolers as role models. There is no bullying at all and when my class had problems the school hired a pyschiatrist immediatly. The principle is outstanding and cares deeply about each student.. The people applying out go to top private schools such as Pingry, Lawrenceville, Newark Academy, Deerfield, Gill St. Bernerds, Delbarton and Kent Place among others. If you send your chld here this could be the best thing you ever do for them.

I go to this school, It is really great. Everyone is amazingly friendly. It is like a very tight knit family.

Actually a collection of little school houses... curriculum is 'learning through the arts', starting each day with an all-student assembly for a variety of book readings, poetry, dramatic plays and song. From the earliest ages, students learn to 'be comfortable' with public speaking... classroom lessons weave a common thread of learning encompassing all of the major school subjects and supported by separate art, music, sports and woodshop actvities... students need not 'try out' for school teams for they all play and enjoy!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
