Montessori Children's Academy

We are very disappointed with MCA and will not be returning. The leadership of the school is not visible, approachable and even more disturbing, untrustworthy and slippery. It's a for profit business and concern for children is secondary. Open and honest communication is non existent. Disrespectful behavior in the classroom is not addressed, not what one expects from a "Montessori" school that is suppose to foster peace and kindness. Changes are made to the curriculum without any explanation and you're not likely to find out about them until way after the fact. Teacher turnover is high and information regarding teacher qualifications is vague. "Montessori" may be in the name, but there is little at this school that represents Montessori. Parents are kept at an arms length. For us, it was $12,000 NOT well spent.

I am new to the Montessori method and, quite frankly, was a skeptic. On the recommendation of a friend I enrolled my child. WOW! She is thriving here. Everyday she comes home with a fire in her eyes. This is just what I want to see as a parent. Her teacher is caring and supportive as is the entire school. Communication is open and so is the door. I can sit and watch her class whenever I want. I am so happy to have found this school and so is my daughter!
